Most Important Thing in 2006 Season?

I personally think it was Peyton getting his ring, but Tagliabue and the Saints were tyed for a close second.

M.O.T.H. 02-13-2007 06:43 PM

Cowboys found their QB for the next 10 years.

Number 10 02-13-2007 06:45 PM

Peyton's ring, no doubt.

RaiderNation 02-13-2007 06:48 PM

manning gettn superbowl. the NO becoming a elite team is a close second

The Unseen 02-13-2007 06:50 PM

New Orleans becoming an elite team.

...I can't bring myself to credit Peyton Manning for anything...

I think it is Tagliabue stepping down and retiring. Change in commissioner effects the entire league, not just the record books.

The Legend 02-13-2007 07:09 PM

LT or Paul

KCJ58 02-13-2007 07:15 PM

Peyton Manning Winning a Super Bowl no question

NFLBOY 02-13-2007 07:16 PM

Tagliabue stepping down is a huge thing in the NFL. All that he has done for it and now a new chapter is starting. As for the Saints being an elite team, I would say you need to have more than 1 good season. They are far from elite.

jetsfan3 02-13-2007 07:17 PM

The Saints were 10-6 in the NFC and every thinks they are so great.

they had to battle a huge amount of adversity and it really was a touching story

Exactly my point. Just because it was a great story people think the Saints are some elite team.

SuperMcGee 02-13-2007 07:26 PM

Manning by far. He cemented himself as one of the best QBs of all time.

Now if they can only find a holder....................

MichaelJordanEberle (sabf) 02-13-2007 07:32 PM

It's definitely Shanahan finally benching Plummer and letting the savior get some PT.

sdpads24 02-13-2007 07:32 PM

Cmon, I would be stupid to not say LT

But are searching for a holder.

RexGrossmans-cheesecake 02-13-2007 07:33 PM

I really really really really really wanted to say Peyton getting his ring..... But, I'm a Bears fan and a sore loser, you mix the two.

So I voted LT breaking the TD record.
