Romo the saint

http://www.dallasnews.com/sharedcont...o.161a4cd.html

Idk if anyone else will find this interesting but im happy to see people dont let fame go to their heads. Nice to see stories like these besides the, man gets hit by a car and no one helps the guy.

MichaelJordanEberle (sabf) 11-20-2008 12:35 AM

Wow. You know, as much as I dislike the Cowboys, I can't help but like Tony Romo. And this just makes it harder to hate him.

mqtirishfan 11-20-2008 12:37 AM

Damn it, now I like Tony Romo.

Burns336 11-20-2008 12:39 AM

You will all fall victim to Romo's charm.

Very true, but she'll be fat in five years.

At which point in time we will all be googling over some new amazing looking girl. The fad will continue.

Brent 11-20-2008 12:57 AM

couple bucks isnt that much for a guy who makes millions a year.

fenikz 11-20-2008 12:58 AM

There are a lot of guys like this around the NFL, when Warner 1st came to Arizona i basically hated him but charity event after charity event after charity event you can't help but start to love these players. It's too bad that ESPN only plays 1 feel good story a week as apposed to running non stop stories about Pac-Man, Mike Vick or what ever degrading story they got for the week

Jvig43 11-20-2008 12:59 AM

Its more of the gesture i guess, the act of good will which sadly is disappearing now a days.

LonghornsLegend 11-20-2008 01:01 AM

This might seem small, but just think about what this probably means to the homeless guy, love to hear about people doing small gestures that mean the world to someone else, no matter who it is, Warrick Dunn, Tony Gonzalez, alot of good hearted NFL players out there.

A couple bucks is nothing for Romo, obviously. But to invite him to sit with him and his buddy during the movie was a pretty cool thing to do. Things like this and helping the couple change their tires earlier this seasons makes it hard to be pissed at him when he plays like ****. I probably still will, but I'll try not to curse him as much.

They play far more than that and I can't stand it. I hate when ESPN does that crap. Stick to the sports, not what happens off the field.

Vikes99ej 11-20-2008 01:15 AM

Making people with the name Tony look good everywhere. I approve.

WMD 11-20-2008 01:16 AM

He's putting out this nice guy image, but I guarantee he has at least 6 dead bodies buried in his backyard.

bad news stories=good ratings/interesting

good news stories=bad ratings/boring

Giantsfan1080 11-20-2008 01:26 AM

NFL players do this all the time. As of now Romo is the one to get publicity for it.

d34ng3l021 11-20-2008 01:39 AM

Damn. I was about to come here and complain about having another Cowboys topic, but that was real nice of him. I like him a lot as a player, and not just cause of stories like these. He seems like a genuinely good guy who plays and has fun.

This is true, and the football Drew Henson is one of them.

Are we talking hookers or guys hitting on Jessica?

D-Unit 11-20-2008 02:07 AM

Romo is really stepping up as a leader and example for this team both on and off the field. There's a reason why this makes news. ...it's not the norm. Romo is a great example for all of us.

Vikes99ej 11-20-2008 02:08 AM

He's the anti-Brady in some aspects, and that's why I love him.

steelernation77 11-20-2008 02:33 AM

In a book I recently read Casey Hampton's brother talks about how Big Snack changed some random woman's tire on the side of the highway in Texas.

Funny how it wasn't on ESPN for a week.

BlindSite 11-20-2008 04:13 AM

Reminds me of when UBER DOUCHE BAG Drew Rosendouche revived that kid who drowned.

Romo seems like an unlikely superstar, seems like that geeky kid on the football team who no one thinks would kick ass.

I dunno how anyone couldn't like the dude banging jessica simpson.
