Who will be the best CB in NFC West?

who will be the guy,the shutdown CB...the guy that will make teams think twice throwing his way?

Chucky 03-12-2007 10:36 PM

Probably a tie between clements and harris

RaiderNation 03-12-2007 10:56 PM

clements(10 characters)

Auron 03-12-2007 10:59 PM

Well Clements right now is the most accomplished CB by default so he has the immediate edge.

a few years down the road, when they start to perfect their technique... I really, really like the potential of Tye Hill, and Kelly Jennings. They had some rookie struggles, but they look promising.

Trufant has struggled lately..but he's #2 on my list for now. If he can regain his form from two seasons ago.

I don't know what to make of Rolle, he's done enough to not be classified as a bad pick, but at the same time he seems to be better suited to be a Zone corner, or free safety..I'll still give him another season though.

toonsterwu 03-12-2007 11:07 PM

Not really a list that stands out. I'd take my chances on Trufant developing as of now. Tye Hill can be good, though, and was showing flashes, but in regards to 2007, I'd take my chances going Trufant/Clements in that order probably.

etk 03-12-2007 11:18 PM

I voted Kelly Jennings because he's from the U, but I know he's not more than a nickel corner yet.

KWill93 03-12-2007 11:26 PM

Clements is easily the best CB in the NFC West.

bored of education 03-12-2007 11:28 PM

I like Tye Hill, he will have a very solid year, may not be the best yet verry solid.

Caddy 03-12-2007 11:30 PM

I'm a Trufant fan for some reason

ninerfan 03-12-2007 11:36 PM

If its not Clement we overpaid

KCJ58 03-12-2007 11:38 PM

Tye Hill(Rams)

Tubby 03-12-2007 11:45 PM

Its Clements, but I voted Trufant because he needs more love

DraftMichaelHuff 03-13-2007 05:30 AM

Isnt Shawntae Spencer ahead of Walt Harris on the 9er depth chart? Honeslty dont know, i just assumed he was

eaglesalltheway 03-13-2007 08:07 AM

Its Clements IMO, but please don't start threads like this everyone. It was started by someone with -3 rep bars, and we don't need these threads anyway. I know you teams in the other divisions want to get the love on this site as well, but this is going to be annoying if we have to go through one of these for who knows how long.

portermvp84 03-13-2007 09:52 AM

I voted for Nate Clemments, a guy I think who will be best down the road is going to be Antrel Rolle.

etk 03-13-2007 11:09 AM

This thread sucks because there's no homers like TNewFan to make in interesting

fenikz 03-13-2007 12:33 PM

you just want everyone to pat your team on the back for paying clements 80 mil

Vikes99ej 03-13-2007 12:36 PM

Marcus Trufant. I am not going to give the Niners fans the honor.

hugepunch 03-13-2007 12:48 PM

terrence newman would shutdown every single wr in the west so this thread is closed.

The NFL should change the rules, so players could get elected into the Hall Of Fame while they are still active. That way, Terence Newman could be voted in this year.

Larry 03-13-2007 12:57 PM

Clements with Trufant a close second.

Yes Terence Newman can shut down Anquan Boldin, Torry Holt & Larry Fitzgerald.....I don't even think he can shut down DJack or Branch.

GSOT 03-13-2007 01:00 PM

Clements, hopefully Tye Hill will continue to improve.
