Ballsy.
I can also push the date up a bit if people want. I figured March 7th was as good a time as any, but I don't really care. |
Hmm.. tough decision here..
think I'll go with the wild card in Albert Pujols. Hope he pays off, the scouts say he has a pretty smooth swing. With that said, I will move any one of my hitters for pitching back in return. Pujols included. |
Just a reminder that everyone's keepers are due on Wednesday. You can keep 3 minor leaguers (which you'll have to declare on here if you have more than 3). After that, we can resume drafting (charm is on the clock).
|
Also, if anyone wants to trade, get in contact with me. I have a glut of Rays and Rangers with my keepers. All are available for offers:
-Nelson Cruz, OF -David Price, P -James Shields, P -Neftali Feliz, P -B.J. Upton, OF -Desmond Jennings, OF |
Charm is STILL IN THIS LEAGUE!?
|
Someone said something about declaring minor league keepers. I evidently have these guys (based on the first post of the thread), so I claim them:

Also, I am definitely drafting Leonys Martin now; I need more Rangers.

I'm ok with trading guys you keep (i.e. if you work out a deal to keep someone and then trade them) but you can't trade guys you aren't keeping.
All of the guys I listed are guys I'm keeping. |

I initially thought he was saying the same thing, but that can't happen. |
How come we're not allowed to keep all 4 of our Minor Leaguers?
|
So, my minor league keepers are: Matt Moore, Dylan Bundy, and Jake Odorizzi. Letting Betances go.
|
Shouldn't Moore count as a major leaguer meaning you can keep the other 3 as well?
|
GF it's like you just joined the league. :)
Anyone who was on the 25-man roster on Sept 1st of last year is ineligible to be a minor-league player. Anyone who was still in the minor leagues on Sept 1st is eligible (so, all 40-man September call ups are still minor-leaguers). marshall can store Moore on his minor league team until the season starts, and will then have to bring him up. It's the same rules since the league started. As far as minor-league keepers go, I think 75% is fair. I had the same rule last year and nobody had a problem with it. I tend to agree with Xio that the 4th minor league spot probably isn't all that valuable anyway. |
I distinctly remember saying NONE of the prospects were relevant.
|
I only half pay attention to you.

Well I have 4 prospects that are top 25 guys in all of baseball so I did well for myself in that regard last year. No biggie though.
|
Keepers:
C: Matt Wieters 1B Miguel Cabrera 2B Jason Kipnis 3B Evan Longoria SS Alexei Ramirez OF Adam Jones P Ubaldo Jiminez P Michael Pineda Can I keep Montero + Trout as my minor leaguers? |
Trout was up before Sept. 1 so I don't think he could be kept as a minor leaguer. Montero was up on Sept. 1 so he should be fine.
|
What GF said. It's all about where you were on Sept 1st, even if you're starting this year in the minors. If you want to keep Trout, you'll have to swap him with one of your keepers (or draft him, you have the next pick).
Montero is fine to keep as a minor league guy. You could probably get some nice value for him when he's catcher eligible. |
