Thank you Xio.

Xiomera 03-10-2012 02:44 PM

Marshall is OTC. Did he leave a number?

bearsfan_51 03-10-2012 02:53 PM

I can't find one anywhere.

bearsfan_51 03-10-2012 06:55 PM

I'm surprised Chisenhall lasted that long. I'd have taken him if I didn't already have Moustakas. Nice pick.

Xiomera 03-10-2012 06:55 PM

I have Joey Bats at 3B. WIN.

Xiomera 03-10-2012 09:26 PM

DJP OTC. CCB on deck.

I've got a rule suggestion: No player taken in the amateur draft can be added until the following year's league draft. This will prevent teams from adding minor league prospects an hour after the real draft, like we did last year.

I think this is a good idea even though I took advantage of it last year. I felt pressured to do so.

Xiomera 03-15-2012 09:00 PM

Prospects don't matter.

I'm not sure I understand. Are you saying that no additions to the minor league rosters can be made at all after the draft?

No, just not first year drafted players. Like how in real life, they cannot be traded within the first league year that they have been selected in. I just think we should wait so everyone gets a fair chance at the Dylan Bundy's and Danny Hultzen's of the world, as they both aren't that far away from the majors.

Xiomera 03-16-2012 11:11 AM

How many rounds is this, BF?

bearsfan_51 03-16-2012 11:40 AM

Rosters are 25 major + 4 minor. We kept 8 major + 3 minor. So......18 rounds.

Yeah I'm fine with that.

You need some starting pitching. The only way to win this league.

Yup, my pitchers have actually improved over last year, trying to get out of the hole I dug for myself. I've got a lot of question marks on my team so I'm gonna let the first couple weeks play out and see what I got then hopefully I can make a move for a TOR guy.

Trade Jesus Montero. He's far more valuable to someone else than he is to you.

bearsfan_51 03-19-2012 02:32 PM

My team is no better than it was last year. I screwed myself by allowing the keeper number to be lowered, as I had good depth, but no stars.

C- Russell Martin
1B-Adam Lind
2B- Kelly Johnson
3B- Mike Moustakas
IF- Edwin Encarnacion
OF-B.J. Upton
OF- Nelson Cruz
OF- Desmond Jennings
OF-Shin-Soo Choo
Util- Michael Young
Util- Danny Valencia
BN- Brandon Allen

P-David Price
P-James Shields
P-Neftali Feliz
P-John Danks
P-Josh Tomlin
P-Jason Vargas
P-Carl Pavano
P-Andrew Bailey
P-Mark Melancon
P-Vinnie Pestano

Yeah, I'm not winning.

Unless Michael Young cloned himself, you'll need someone else at either IF or UTIL.

I agree with you though, a very good all around team, but no stars. I think you'll be right up there, but unless you make a couple good moves probably won't win it all.

Giantsfan1080 03-19-2012 03:05 PM

C Alex Avila
1B Justin Smoak
2B Dustin Pedroia
SS Alcides Escobar

1 more bench guy and 1 more minor leaguer to go.

D-Unit 03-19-2012 03:22 PM

Is Salvador Perez eligible for my minor league squad?
