On offense, Ed Dickson is really raising some eyebrows. He's practicing with Flacco, Rice and the rest of the first team offense. I think he's going to be a nice part of our passing game this season, he'll have a much better season than that bum L.J. Smith from last year :) As for special teams I think the Punt Returner will be Prince Miller if he makes the team, if not, possibly Mark Clayton, Tom Zbikowski(should we really take a chance with him though?) or David Reed. If all else fails, we'll see the incumbent Chris Carr. Kick Returner, I believe is already locked up by Jalen Parmele. I think Cundiff will win the kicker spot. Remember, Steven Hauschka killed us last year in the pressure situations, and all I hear about Graham is that he can't kick under pressure either. Why take the same path this year and sign Graham over Cundiff? 2011 Draft - After looking over our roster, I think we need to draft a C in our next draft in the 2nd or 3rd rounds. CB is a first round need. and I think we need to actually draft a Kicker in round 7 or so. Cundiff has average range and Graham is a choker. We need a long-term solution at K. |
Yeah I like Miller as well. I wouldnt mind us keeping him. Here is the PS I think we will do or at least try to set up
Harper Riley Drew Miller McLaughlin. we may cut one of them out to keep Mattison around just to make his dad happy. |
I'll give it a go.
Offense: QB - Flacco, Bulger, Smith RB - Rice, McGahee, Parmele FB - McClain WR - Boldin, Mason, Stallworth, Clayton, Reed TE - Heap, Dickson, Pitta LT - Oher LG - Grubbs C - Birk, Chester RG - Yanda, Harewood RT - Gaither, Cousins Defense (3-4): DT - Ngata, Jones NT - Gregg, Cody, McKinney DE - Redding, Pryce, Kruger OLB: Suggs, Barnes ILB: Ellerbe, McClain ILB: Lewis, Gooden, Ayanbandejo OLB: Johnson, Jones CB: Washington, Gerard, Paschal CB: Carr, Fisher, Miller FS: Zbikowski, Hamlin SS: Landry, Namakura K: Graham P: Koch LS: Katula PUP - Reed, Webb, Kindle Reserve/Suspended - Cary Williams I think we'll only keep 8 OL this season, the backups we do have are pretty versatile. Clayton makes the team because the coaching staff likes him (I sure don't). We only keep 5 ILBs with Ayanbandejo edging out Burgess. Edgar Jones keeps Kindle's roster spot warm and in the meantime is a very versatile player who can play special teams. Webb will probably replace Miller when he comes back (if he's put on the PUP list at all), but if Harris or Fisher really struggle I could see us letting go one of them (or both). I'd like to say Reed takes Hamlin's spot when he returns, but that's iffy too. Perhaps we cut two CBs like I alluded to before and keep 5 safeties on the roster. |
