Coaching Staff update thread

I figured I would be fancy and make a thread of the updates of our coaching staff. So far Henning and Lee are gone(woooohoooooo!!!!!). Bowles seems to be the favorite to be the Cowboys DC. Forgot his name but there are rumors that the tightend coach will be gone.

Nothing on who could be the candidates of replacing the two turds. Hope Sparano is going after a guy who knows how to develop QB's and how to use his weapons wisely.

Yet another Cowboys member could be making his way to Miami. Sparano will be interviewing John Garrett for the OC position and be interviewing Chargers TE coach Rob Chud.

PS- I wish more Dolphins fans were active on these forums :(

Funny thing is, there are a ton of Phins fans active on the boards as a whole. We just never come in here...

As for the OC position, I'm not overly high on Chud or John Garrett. Garrett is similar to his brother, very intelligent and will probably come with a lot of good concepts and stuff but I think his playbook is gonna be huge and I wouldn't be surprised if he tried to out-think himself just like Jason. As for Chud, he was mediocre in the OC position with the Browns although he only had one year and didn't get a real shot. I like him more than Garrett at this point though.

I really just want a proven guy that can coach QBs and call a balanced game that takes a shot downfield once in a while. ESPN rumors has a number of other names but the one I like the most is Chris Palmer, currently the Hartford Colonials Head Coach. He's 'retired' from the NFL but he's worked with Sparano before and he's really good with QBs so I hope we can coax him to come coach our QBs or offense for a couple years but we'll see if he wants back in the game.

I completely agree, right now what we need is a guy who can help us develop a young quarterback, i'm not really sure who that would be at this point right now but we've needed that for a while. I also wouldn't mind bringing in some younger offensive minds who we can try build and grow our offense with.

Just read on espn that we are interviewing Brad Childress for our open offensive coordinator job. I think he'd be a pretty good hire he knows how to run an offense and seems to do well with QBs...What do you guys think?

**** that. Chilly is an idiot, even his former players think so. It would be best if we pass on the guy as our OC. Now if we are talking the QB coaching job that may be a different story but hellz no to OC job. Him and Marshall would clash too much and we dont need that ****.

Chris Palmer and the Browns OC also are interviewing for the job. Not too impressed with these guys that Sparano is bringing in. Im hoping there are more guys out there that are being interviewed that we dont know about yet. The only guy who I would feel ok with that has interviewed so far is Garrett. Been reading some good stuff about him so who knows. He seems ready to take on the role.

I don't think he'd be that bad as our OC, he is an established guy in the league who has done a pretty good job with QBs which is what we really need right now. I do think that there are probably better options but we could do worse than him, like Chris Palmer who i'm not impressed with at all.

The guy I want for the OC job is Rob Chudzinski from the Chargers. It's "Chud" or bust!

Well the coaching staff is finally complete. Dorrell moved over to QB coach, Steve Bush moves from offensive control guy to WR coach with Ike Hilliard as his assitant, and Tony's son took over Bush's old job. Not getting an exciting feel to the new look offensive staff but just gonna take a wait and see approach.
