Am I blind or is Nick Perry missing?
I don't see Curry either.

Rosebud 04-11-2012 01:10 PM

I doubt the giants pass on Mike Adams for a first round linebacker not named Luke Kuechly.

That is correct. Atrocious, I know, that any of SW's top 64 aren't listed in the first two rounds.

Not a big fan of taking Devon Still by Pitt to play NT. That being said, if we can get him in the second round, WTF, take him.

That was my thought. You can't beat the value there. Actually, I just noticed I left Alameda Ta'amu off, and he'd be a great fit.

Brandon Thompson is not worth a 1st Rounder. Upshaw, Konz or Zeitler either those would be the pick at #21.

Asteinebach 04-11-2012 02:06 PM

Brandon Thompson is moving up a lot of boards. And DT is a need for the Bengals, you can't deny that. Upshaw I could see happening.

Russell Wilson is certainly interesting. I'd prefer him to Weeden, so there's that. I'm not sure another QB with questionable tools is a good use of a high second round pick though.

I think all of these guys are pretty interesting options based on your board...and yes, I know Martin seems stupid after drafting Richardson, but I think that would be awesome.

DT is a need, but not a 1st round need. They rotate all their DL in and out they all get about 20 snaps a game.

While I like both of the selections for KC, I don't see how there is any way the Chiefs trade up once.. let alone TWICE. It just isn't very realistic.

Thanks vidae, in truth, I didn't realize I had the same team moving up twice. It made sense as far as the picks were concerned, but just not in the guts of an actual trade.

Just my opinion...

I personally believe that Trent Baalke would prefer a mauler-type run blocker who is amazing in pass pro over a technician whom is more finesse than physical, and injury prone.

If my choice is Konz or Zeitler, I'm taking Zeitler.

twiz 04-11-2012 03:37 PM

Mike Adams over Russell Wilson for Cleveland in the 2nd, and that's a fantastic first two rounds. With Wilson, meh. I don't see Wilson being much in the NFL.

Good insight. Thanks :)

My thought is if you're bringing in a QB in the first two rounds, I'd like more upside. I don't see that with any but three QB's this draft (Luck, RG3, Tannehill [who I see as a second rounder]), and this team needs a lot of help on offense. IMO, you're better off just building around McCoy for next season. Right side of the line is shoddy, and Cleveland is lacking weapons. With the first three picks, you can patch up most of the needs with good or great value.

Phins827 04-11-2012 03:47 PM

Uhh... What exactly did KC trade in order to have the neccessary firepower to move up TWICE, once into the top 5

Bills2083 04-11-2012 03:55 PM

What did NE give up to move to 15? They still have their other first as well as their two 2nds.

Also, I'm not a fan of Toon and he doesn't bring what we need to this offense (a downfield threat who can stretch the defense). However, I have no idea who else I'd want in that situation.

Asteinebach 04-11-2012 03:59 PM

Use your imaginations with the trades, guys. I know the KC thing is unlikely and I already addressed that. Aside from that, there's always 3-7 round picks as well as players and future picks.

thebow305 04-11-2012 04:58 PM

Decent Phins draft. Not a big Cousins fan, but I LOVE me some Floyd!

holt_bruce81 04-11-2012 05:11 PM

Love the draft for St. Louis. Three great players and a trade down to collect more draft picks, couldn't ask for a better first 2 rounds.

akvikefan89 04-11-2012 05:17 PM

Ryan Kalil... heh, Ryan...

Kalil and Gilmore would be awesome for the Vikes. I don't see how Gilmore slips that far, though...

I don't like either Ravens picks. Mercilus doesn't fit the profile of a high Ravens pick at all with only one year of production and Jones is a reach in the 2nd round.
