NFL Honors Thread.

Proceed with the discussion. I heard Robert Griffin III already won Rookie of the Year.

vidae 02-02-2013 06:30 PM

Luke Kuechly is the Defensive Rookie of the Year.

vidae 02-02-2013 06:49 PM

JJ Watt is the Defensive Player of the Year.

He totally deserved this. Happy for him.

vidae 02-02-2013 06:56 PM

Bruce Arians is the Coach of the Year.

Got 49 of 50 votes the other vote went to Von Miller. I can't see how anyone could not vote for Watt?

Some of the writers who vote for the award don't actually watch the games. They just throw darts at names on the wall and that is there vote.

Splat 02-02-2013 07:20 PM

Adrian Peterson = Offensive Player of the Year.

SunTzu_22 02-02-2013 07:26 PM

Peyton wins Comeback Player of the Year.

XxXdragonXxX 02-02-2013 07:28 PM

RG3 got 29 votes, Luck 11, Wilson 10.

Arians got 36.5 votes. Pagano got 5.5, Carroll got 5, Frazier got 3.

Ness 02-02-2013 07:46 PM

Did Peyton Manning just win MVP? Really?

EDIT: Nevermind.

Legacy 02-02-2013 08:00 PM

I'm a homer, so naturally I think Lavonte David should have won DROY over Kuechly, but whatever...

Kuechly can have it, because David is going to have more Pro Bowls and Lombardi Trophies when it's all said and done.

WCH 02-02-2013 08:02 PM

AD is MVP. They got it right.

vidae 02-02-2013 08:14 PM

AD winning was the right decision.

molenguinurtle 02-02-2013 08:15 PM

Is anyone watching the show?

J-Mike88 02-02-2013 08:23 PM

Yes, some are watching.
Koooookly deserved the DROY.

J-Mike88 02-02-2013 08:24 PM

So far, so good.....

Halsey 02-02-2013 08:45 PM

It was obvious AP was going to get it when Peyton won CPOTY. I don't agree AP was MVP, but fans want a break from one of the top QBs winning it every year.

Yeah, I said AP!

Dr. Gonzo 02-02-2013 08:54 PM

AD deserved MVP. He was electric, just amazing to watch.

Not sure if serious..... it was an easy choice.
One of the greatest seasons ever for a RB.
And a ton of QB's who put up real nice stats for winning teams, but stats that paled in comparson to some QB's last year, the year before, before, etc.

Is it allowed to have my favorite player in the league be a guy on my rival team who I root against the most?
I love Peterson.....

Anyone else have a case like this, where you're a huge fan & admireror of a dude on the team you hate?

I can't stand New Orleans, but I like Drew Brees on the Saints. I liked him in San Diego. Probably my favorite quarterback in the NFL. Seems like a good guy on and off the field. That could change if Kaepernick wins the Super Bowl and continues to build on the success that he's had.

WCH 02-02-2013 09:24 PM

Chris Kluwe is my favorite player. During Packers/Vikings games, he gives GB the ball every time he's on the field. More importantly, he Rick Rolled the commish on reddit.

bigbluedefense 02-02-2013 10:09 PM

Who was the hot chick that presented with Clay? That's all I wanna know.

I loved Dawkins for a long time but hate Philly with a passion. Love is probably a strong word. I respected him a ton.

Scotty D 02-02-2013 11:37 PM

I was annoyed by how the top ten plays of the year were all offense. Just shows you what the NFL is pushing. Don't really agree with Arians winning coach of the year. Its turned in to who wins the most games with the worst roster. I'd give it to Jim Harbaugh.
