Scott and I are participating with a site called Play The Draft that has become a type of fantasy football for the NFL Draft using stocks of players as they rise and fall leading up to Draft Day.

It's kind of funny. You just buy up all the guys that had huge numbers at the combine and then probably sell them the next day. Or if a guy has a bad day at the combine, dump him before the next day so you don't lose money on him.

e.g. I picked up Lance Johnson yesterday after his bench numbers came out and his stock went up 29 points today and will make a huge jump tomorrow morning. Then I made a profit by selling Gavin Escobar before any changes could take place after he ran a 4.8# 40.

The best buy today is easily Eifert. He drop 43 points and just destroyed the combine. I picked him up really cheap and will see a massive profit in the morning.

I'm not sure how long it'll be before I grow tired of it, but we'll see.

How often does the players stock update? Just once a day?

I just joined. I used to play wall street sports back in 98-99. This looks like fun.

The fun part is picking guys the day of the draft. It's just accumulating more money before draft day now.

Most of the later prospects don't get updated...

It's only through the 3rd round, correct?

Picking up Jarvis Jones before his pro day, then selling.

Kind of. You only get more than 425 for players selected in the top 3 rounds, if they are taken after the 3rd round you will only get 425 even if its someone you paid 1500 for

How many prospects does everyone have? Im at 9 right now.

And when do the numbers update?

I'm up to 13,151 so far. How is everyone else doing? League rank 13.

+106 from when I signed up yesterday. whats a good/bad day from what everyone has experienced so far?

$1000 separates 29th (where I am) from 11th.

$1500 separates 46th from the top 15.

It's a close race.

Currently, I'm at 11 prospects, but that will change each week, as I wheel and deal with the prices.

My biggest "fish" needs to go 4th or higher overall for me to get some good value there, while my recent pickups (Jarvis Jones and Damontre Moore) only get me value if they go 10th and 15th or higher, respectively.
