Lonnie Pryor, FB, Florida St.
I am wondering what team is going to pick Lonnie Pryor, convert him back to RB, and look like a genius?

Lonnie came to FSU as a RB, was willing to convert to FB because he just wanted to be on the field and contribute and knew that was the quickest route. He ended up being so effective that Jimbo literally changed his offense to have the FB in the majority of the different sets that Jimbo runs. He has power and deceptive speed. Watch the 1st TD from the Orange Bowl this year. Solid guy, will be a 10 year player in the NFL. |
I'm hoping Green Bay

He can come to New Orleans, stay at Fullback, and be on the field roughly 50% of the time.

He is my favorite FSU player in this draft class as an FSU fan. He will do whatever is asked of him and is a selfless team player. He came in as a 4 star RB and became an undersized FB. He is fantastic at catching the ball out of the backfield and picking up the pass rush which is something a lot of running back struggle with. His actual downside is his straight ahead blocking which makes him kind of a tweener. He would be excellent in a system that either turns him into a big back or as a 3rd down back early on with the potential to be an every down back in a year or two.
