I don't see a RB in the 1st for the Bengals. They are looking for a RB to complement Green-Ellis not replace him. LB, S, WR, OT(Depending on what happens to Andre Smith) one of those will be the positions addressed in the 1st.

yeah I considered Cyprien or Elam there, too. just thought Lacy might be worth it since he has low wear and tear and Green-Ellis was not a great back this season

If Rhodes fell to NE... Wow

K Train 03-20-2013 09:48 PM

i lovvveeee patterson

it would suckkk if rhodes went to the patriots...another promising young corner where the likes of darius butler, Ras-i Dowling, and devin mccourtey all went to fade into oblivion

I had Rhodes and Trufant switched (which would still be a good haul for the Pats) but I saw Trufant more consistently highly rated on mosts sites so I put him to TB. this also doesn't have trades and by the time Rhodes (or Trufant) hit 20 or so someone is moving up.

BallerT1215 03-20-2013 10:15 PM

That is a very good Bills pick to help make our defense more explosive. If he fell to us - I'd feel like we got the best defensive player in the draft.

I would be sick if the Pats hauled in Rhodes @ 29.

Overall a good mock period.

thebow305 03-20-2013 10:21 PM

Kiki to Miami is makes me very very happy.

gonzo1105 03-20-2013 10:32 PM

I mean do people actually watch Rhodes play or just gawk over his size and speed. He has major technique problems and should be no more than a late first round pick. The people mocking him at 12 or so are crazy and would be taking a big chance on him that high. He needs major refinement. I agree with the OP on him going around 20 something

49erNation85 03-20-2013 11:53 PM

Great pick for sf.

SickwithIt1010 03-21-2013 12:31 AM

I'm starting to feel if Star is there, he needs to be the pick.

Menardo75 03-21-2013 12:35 AM

Williams to the Niners is a good pick.

ChicagoBearsVet23 03-21-2013 12:46 AM

Give the Bears Werner or Rhodes. Brown is a late 1st early 2nd.

RCAChainGang 03-21-2013 12:54 AM

As long as Fluker is playing OG.

I see some better picks in here though. I love Xavier Rhodes and think he would be long gone by the time the Colts pick. Demontre Moore and Keenan Allen would also be good fits.

Well we have Castonzo at LT and we signed Gosder Chrilus to play RT this offseason.

Our line as of now
Castonzo/Reitz?/Shipley or Satele (shoot me)/ Donald Thomas/ Cherilus

Really the Colts struggled most on the interior line. We needed at least one guard for sure and we got that with Thomas. The center and other guard spots are a little shaky right now. I have no faith in Satele at C so I hope they put Shipley in. At LG Reitz could play but he is injury prone or Ijialana could play if he could ever get his knee healed up.

I feel confident at LT, semi confident at RT, Confident at one guard spot, and iffy on the other guard spot and center spot.

I do think Fluker could come in and be an OG, but I think I would rather use the pick on a player like Rhodes or Allen and draft someone like Alvin Bailey later.

EDIT: Cherilus had an injury before his contract year with the Lions but he came back and had a fantastic contract year. I suppose you could say he has injury concerns, but the Colts wouldn't have brought him in if they thought he couldn't stay healthy.

oh yeah, I forgot about Cherilus. I could definitely see a defensive back since it's about the only position the Colts didn't spend money on. will take it into account for next time

edit: forgot they did spend on Toler but does that really count?

wicket 03-21-2013 02:18 AM

richardson is a flat out sucky saints pick, cant play nose and the DEnd positions are set and he doesnt even fit all that well as a 34 DEnd anyway, terrible fit and doesnt really fit a need

RCAChainGang 03-21-2013 03:40 AM

Double Post

RCAChainGang 03-21-2013 03:41 AM

To be honest with you, I think the Colts think that Toler will be a CB2. I doubt he will live up to that because of injuries.

I predict the front office will go with a WR like Keenan Allen or DeAndre Hopkins to hold WR2 and mold to take Reggie's place. Grigson has stated he is about drafting BPA. I think one only follows that so much though.

If I was the GM I would definitely go with Rhodes here because I feel like it would give us a well rounded secondary we could trust to be healthy and I think he is the best player on the board. My second option would be a rush linebacker and Damontre Moore would be great for that role.

To your defense, I think Fluker will end up a guard in the NFL, but I did recognize you mocked him as a OT. Wasn't a bad pick especially if it was a week or so ago (before the signing).

If the medical checks out, I like it, makes sense and as was previously stated by a smart man: "I'd feel like we got the best defensive player in the draft."

Side note: I dont see Rhodes making it to NE either, or out of the top 20. Stranger thing have happened though.

zachsaints52 03-21-2013 10:07 AM

Please explain how Richardson will be used when our two best defensive players are our starting 3-4 ends.

He won't.

And give the Colts either Xavier Rhodes or Keenan Allen. They have bigger needs there than RT.
