Which Realistic Choices Would You Approve Of in 1st Round?

Who is your favorite team, and which prospects which could realistically be available by your team's draft selection in the first round would you approve of as a fan?

Robcards 03-25-2013 08:20 PM

As a Jets fan I would approve of Jarvis Jones, Barkevious Mingo, or Ezekiel Ansah. Fairly resigned to the fact that one of those 3 will be our selection in April. I'd be so-so about Bjoern Werner, not sure if he'd make a good 3-4 OLB, but we do have the personnel for a 4-3 with Coples as a LE and Ellis/Wilkerson at DT if it doesn't work out. Still not sold on Coples as a 2-gapper.

Warmack would be a blah pick, I'm not a fan of using early picks on a position that is perennially saturated with veteran talent in free agency (see: Colon for slightly above veteran's minimum).

Cordarelle Patterson would be a facepalm pick, because they already have their mega-athlete project WR in Stephen Hill, so when both bust we can have fun picking top 10 in the draft for a while. Not sure who else is realistic, don't see a QB worth taking with the pick, although if Geno is there I guess I wouldn't have a problem with them taking him at 9.

For the Pats I would say:

WR: Justin Hunter, Keenan Allen, and Tavon Austin (DeAndre Hopkins is close and Patterson will most likely be gone)

Interior OL: Chance Warmack and Jonathan Cooper (Kyle Long is close)

DE: Bjoern Werner, Tank Carradine, and Datone Jones

DT: Jesse Williams and Sylvester Williams

CB: Desmond Trufant and Xavier Rhodes (not as big of a need with the guys we resigned but we could use more help)

Those aren't our only needs, but those are the guys at positions of need that would be worth it if we stay where we are if you ask me.

Buffalo

Offense
OG: Warmack, Cooper
OT: Lane Johnson
WR: Patterson, Austin
QB: Barkley

Defense
CB: Milliner, Rhodes
OLB/DE: Jarvis Jones, Mingo, Jordan, Werner, Carradine

dunagan15 03-25-2013 09:18 PM

Falcons: Immediate needs CB and DE, later rounds, OLB and OL/DL depth

CB: Desmond Trufant or Rhodes in the 1st.

DE: Tank Carradine or Alex Okafor(possibly a little early for him here but doubt he lasts till our pick in round 2)

I reall cant see us going any other route in the first unless a big name guy slips thru, like one of the DTs or OL.

Black Bolt 03-25-2013 09:26 PM

Raiders

thebow305 03-25-2013 10:53 PM

Miami Dolphins:

Offense: Tavon Austin, Cordarrelle Patterson, Lane Johnson, Tyler Eifert

Defense: Jarvis Jones, Dion Jordan, Barkevious Mingo, Cornellius "Tank" Carradine, Xavier Rhodes, Desmond Trufant

CashmoneyDrew 03-25-2013 10:57 PM

For the Titans I'd be happy with Patterson, Warmack, or Werner.

I haven't really seen Ziggy much, but I could probably roll with that pick too.

PossibleCabbage 03-26-2013 12:27 AM

For the Packers:

Any in-tier safety (Elam, Cyprien, Reed) , any in-tier defensive lineman (Hankins, Jenkins, Williams, Jones), Tyler Eifert, or trade down.

diabsoule 03-26-2013 12:38 AM

For the Saints:

Bjoern Werner
Jarvis Jones
Barkevious Mingo
Tavon Austin

That's about it

Shupp 03-26-2013 01:08 AM

For the 49ers @ 31 and 34 (including this because they are so close). So any 2 of these:

DL: Datone Jones, Kawaan Short, Jesse Williams

S: Vaccaro, Elam, Cyprien

CB: Xavier Rhodes, Desmond Trufant

WR: Justin Hunter

Pat Sims 90 03-26-2013 01:11 AM

For The Bengals

WR Tavon Austin
S Kenny Vaccaro
OT DJ Flucker
WR DeAndre Hopkins
WR Keenan Allen
RB Eddie Lacy
S Matt Elam
S Jonathan Cyprein
LB Arthur Brown

Cardinals
Joeckel, Fisher, Jordan, Johnson

BuckeyeDan17 03-27-2013 09:47 AM

browns (we could end up drafting literally anything except OT or C)

geno smith, patterson, hunter, milliner, jordan, ansah

Not a fan of Jarvis Jones, like at all.

K Train 03-27-2013 09:52 AM

Patterson, Jarvis Jones, Dion Jordan are the unlikely ones

Hunter, Allen, Hopkins, Vaccaro, Warmack, Cooper, Mingo are realistic ones

KLima878 04-04-2013 10:43 AM

Would love the Jags to grab Dion Jordan at #2

P-L 04-04-2013 08:35 PM

I think I'd be pretty upset if the Lions didn't pick one of Joeckel, Fisher, or Ansah. I wouldn't hate Milliner either.

Do you see Riley Reiff as a right tackle?

I'd be happy with any of those except Jones, would absolutely not want him in the first

You guys need that #1 CB in the worst way, but I wouldn't fault you for taking OT @ 5.

xpmar9x 04-04-2013 10:25 PM

Titans:

Joeckel, Floyd, Ansah, Fisher, Cooper, Warmack, Milliner, Lotulelei, Xavier Rhodes, or Sheldon Richardson.

There's 11, we pick 10... should get one of them.

BuckeyeBrown133 04-05-2013 12:54 AM

Cleveland Browns:

CD Dee Milliner
OLB Dion Jordan

Ansah is ok in my book, too. No to Smith, Barkley, Patterson, or Austin.
