Everyone has Cyprien as a 2nd round safety. Not many put him in the first round in their mocks but in the 2nd he's supposed to be a steal. I think he goes top 25. Could see Rams selecting him with the 22nd pick.

Have a hard time seeing him get past SF. Although they only take him at 31, if there is a risk he's taken/traded up for at 32/33.

St. Louis has to be looking for FS. That's a key position for them. I don't see them doubling up on safeties in R1. FS is important enough to acquire. But they have an OL to fix. And this is the draft to do it in.

Kyle Long is a question mark for me because I think he needs some time on the bench and seasoning.

He is athletic as they get, but his footwork is choppy and undisciplined.

I think a 1st round OG will need to start right away.

Of the players who haven't been mentioned...

Jamie Collins and David Bahktiari come to mind. There's a steep drop off in pass rushers after the top 20ish picks. Freak athletes who are D-Lineman or pass rushers always get pushed up and Collins is exactly that. Athletically he reminds me a lot of Nick Perry but a little better side to side. Think one of the teams in the back-end of the first may take a chance on his athletic upside knowing that they may struggle to find someone in the 2nd round round.

Bahktiari from Colorado is a guy I rally think could can play everything from LT to C and which will be very appealing to some of the teams in late 1. Very good athlete with a lot of quality film. Not a term usually associated with O-Line but probably has the best motor of any player in this draft. Might be little bit of a stretch but it seems like there's usually some O-Lineman who creep up into the 1st and go earlier than expected.

I also think we see 4th and maybe a 5th CB go in the first whether that's Taylor, Alford, Hayden, etc.

I had Amerson as a fringe first rounder, but now he looks like he'll be no worse than the 3rd corner drafted, probably no later than the 20th pick.

I'm projecting. Maybe he still is a fringe first rounder, but I kind of see Amerson with a slight edge over Trufant to be the third corner drafted, sometime in the first.

Did you rewind to August? David Amerson has far too many question marks as a corner to go first round.

Think Warford is kind of the inverse of Long; if some team can get over him not being an explosive athlete, they're going to get a true plug 'n' play guard.

JohnCandy 04-03-2013 10:20 PM

Would you guys take Warford or Fluker to play RG in your power system?
