2. Poor Jaguar fans. Another bust 1st Rd QB, setting their franchise back another half-decade.

1. Poor Vidae. Give him Fisher... no Djokovic. I mean no Joke. Joeckel.

You love Pugh, but you know I want Arthur Brown there. I don't care that we have Hawk already and maybe Bishop coming back.... I feel Brown will upgrade our defense big time.... so much better than Hawk.
I also believe Eifert is the real deal and would not mind seeing him taken, even though our defense is what needs the immediate, significant upgrade.

not a fan of vaccaro at all, therefore i hate the pick. not saying there would be anything wrong with drafting a safety with a mid first round grade but i dont like vaccaro nearly enough to warrant that sort of grade.

But then again, im just lost as to why people rate vaccaro as high as they do, i really dont see it

thebow305 04-21-2013 09:55 AM

Well, looks like someone just earned some positive rep for NOT giving us Xavier Rhodes.

coordinator0 04-21-2013 01:43 PM

I'd bet good money that Watson won't be Baltimore's first pick.

Mocking Eric Fisher to the Chiefs just because vidae likes Fisher over Joeckel is just silly. Joeckel is the most likely pick for the Chiefs and this forum is the only place I've heard any support for the Chiefs taking Fisher over him. He needs to deal.

Cyprein works for San Fran.

Not getting the Vaccaro love around here. If he played at Washington he'd be a likely 3rd rounder.

Thecollegedropout 04-21-2013 03:45 PM

Give the Jets Tavon Austin at 13 and that's a heck of a 1st round.

BallerT1215 04-21-2013 06:00 PM

I knew my bitching would get to you eventually.

Jarvis Jones would make me take off my pants in celebration. I love his game, and the thought of what element he would add to our defense that already has a stud d-line.

princefielder28 04-21-2013 06:07 PM

I need to update my mock with the Revis trade...

Arthur Brown is simply not a realistic option regardless if you want him or not. Where would he play? Right now we have three guys making a good deal of money competing for those spots. I'd love to add a player like him, but it's just not in the cards.

Who's Baltimore's starting left tackle right now?

With Kerley's emergence last season, I don't see the Jets going after Austin.

Doesn't matter, Ozzie doesn't draft based solely on need nor does Watson fit the profile of his first picks. He's not going to take a project like Watson that high.

49erNation85 04-21-2013 06:41 PM

Solid Sf mock. But I like Elam more .

Watson is widely regarded as a first round pick so if he fell to 32 it'd be a surprise and it's not like he'd be picking solely on need

I wasn't really talking about value, more about the second part of my post.

2012 - Upshaw
2011 - Smith
2010 - Kindle
2009 - Oher
2008 - Flacco
2007 - Grubbs
2006 - Ngata
2005 - Clayton
2004 - Edwards (pick 51)
2003 - Suggs
2002 - Reed

Notice a trend? It's not a coincidence either. The other night Jeremiah was on NFLN talking about his time with the Ravens and he said Ozzie had a saying (or something) like he wants to hit doubles with his first picks and not swing for home runs. To me Watson would definitely fall in the home run type of pick. Personally I wouldn't mind Watson as I think he has a lot of potential but I don't think it's likely to happen at all.

JPF 04-21-2013 07:32 PM

Could deal with taking Austin at 14, but personally I'd rather have any of the next three players off the board.

diabsoule 04-21-2013 08:17 PM

Man, PF, I love your work but I hate the Saints pick. I think Vaccaro is highly overrated and that the Saints have other pressing needs than a safety who's a clone of someone they already have - Malcom Jenkins

He has plenty of big swings there and has connected for some HR's for sure.
Sergio is the only real whiff I see there really......

Mock has been updated to reflect trade

Flacco is about the only big swing I see in there. Everybody was a proven bona fide talent that was ready to play right away. That's what I'm getting at. I know Flacco started right from the start but at the time it seemed like that was more because Troy Smith had some kind of sickness and I think Boller was hurt. Clayton was probably a whiff too. At least there was an excuse why Kindle didn't pan out. :frown:

Good Bengals pick. I don't personally like Reid, but I bet the Bengals do.

dunagan15 04-21-2013 11:50 PM

I can dig Hayden in the first.
