Jimmy Graham not in the top 100

This is pretty ridiculous and has got to be due to an error. He's easily top 100 player in the league, and with however many other TE's on the list (4-5 maybe) it's pretty absurd to think he's not in that category

This has to be an error somehow.

I'm starting to think the NFL may put together a list of players that gets to sent to the players to vote. Maybe they send a list of 200 players that the players who get to vote ranks from 1-100.

Also, who they decide gets to vote is up in the air as well, as I've heard many say they didn't get to vote

BallerT1215 06-14-2013 12:49 PM

That is pretty absurd.

Behind Gronk - there is not a more dangerous TE in the NFL IMO.

And he may never be the same. For now Graham is the #1 receiving TE in the NFL.

mightytitan9 06-14-2013 01:03 PM

Wow, when I looked up the top 100 I am even more shocked. Here is the TEs in the top 100

1) Rob Gronk
2) VD
3) Jason Witten
4) Tony G
5) Antonio Gates
6) Hernandez
7) Heath Miller
8) Pitta

Wow, seriously? This had be an enormous error and/or a lapse in judgement

Don Vito 06-14-2013 01:04 PM

That has to be a brain fart.

They MUST have meant jimmy graham instead of antonio gates, gates doesnt belong on there anymore and that has to be grahams absolute lowest on that list

I know. Seeing that makes me want to cry.

BallerT1215 06-14-2013 01:27 PM

lol kill - I was going to tell you to be careful because Pats fans are a little sensitive right now but I see I am too late.

Trogdor 06-14-2013 01:39 PM

You guys should calm down the Gronk talk. It's infectious.

Gates being at 5 w/o Graham is silly. Put Graham at 5 and it could work.

NY+Giants=NYG 06-14-2013 01:39 PM

He was # 2 in receiving yards last season behind Witten. He should be there for last season. But then again, I really do hate the lists by NFL.com and NFL network. That programming for the channel has gone done hill big time.

It's turned into the national football lists. Top 10 QBs, top WRs, top teams who didn't win, top 10 this and top 10 that. Now top 100.. Stop with stupid lists and fill your time slots with actually shows that are better than these stupid lists.

What you did there, I see it.

NY+Giants=NYG 06-14-2013 01:48 PM

Haha and I like it!

Guru 06-14-2013 02:09 PM

Yeh that definitely is a huge blunder. Aren't these lists voted on by the players? Might be a jealousy thing if that's true. Where did Wilson, Luck and RG3 come in at? I'm interested to see who the players think is the better QB of the 3. After watching DE's crap their pants constantly on RG3's option plays I can only assume he is considered the most dangerous player in this poll. I'd assume top 20 maybe top 15 with Wilson close behind.

Seconded. They dont have anything worth watching anymore.

Also, didn't they make the list by having a group of players list the 10 best players in the league, or something? I don't think the "top 100" its even made by ranking 100 players, is some kind of average/aggregate system. It's like they do it on purpose to see what kind of ranking their "formula" spits out so they'll have content for the "reaction show" every week.

"OMG - Jimmy Graham didn't make the top 100! What does that tell us about the league's perception of him? Is he not getting enough respect!?!? What do you think, Kurt?"

"I think Jimmy Graham is a greeeaaat player. He should be AT LEAST... "

-_-

LonghornsLegend 06-14-2013 02:35 PM

Yea, pretty sure that's an error. There is no explanation. He should be the 2nd TE, he's past Witten and Tony G for me. He played almost the entire year with a bum wrist, but he showed his potential the year before. Not many TE's can post 100/1300/12 type of seasons, and if you are capable of those numbers you don't have to block like Jonathan Ogden.

gpngc 06-14-2013 02:54 PM

No one knows how they compile these lists anyway. Players have spoken out like they don't vote so no one knows how they work. If a group of scouts did the list it would be a million times better.

vidae 06-14-2013 02:59 PM

Yeah it's ridiculous that he's not on the list. And Geno Atkins is 36th? Tons of weird **** goin down y'all.

TACKLE 06-14-2013 03:10 PM

Wait, people are still following this? This top 100 thing had no credibility year one and somehow it's still gotten exponentially worse since then.

They have lists for nearly everything!!! It's uncanny how much filler stuff they put on. It's almost as if someone had a bright idea. Let's start a football network 24/7, all year round. And this way it helps our marketing and increases ratings. So fine, they do that then.

Then you realize man, what are we going to talk about for a whole year? Sure there is the season, off season broken up into free agency and draft. However, still there are dead spots during the year. When there is stuff to talk about you can only cover the same subject so many times.

So they created lists...

Top Wrs
Top 10 Qbs
Top 10 coaches
Top 10 coaches who should have stayed in college
Top 10 Busts
Top 10 WR duo
Top 10 Lbs
Top 10 Packers
Top 10 Raiders
Top 10 # 1 overall picks

Seriously, it goes on and on. I want to meet the guy who sits there at the meetings that comes up with the idea for the lists. NFL network is basically like ESPN now. There was a time where NFL network was good. Now it's a few decent shows or programs and filler junk.

This.

When I first heard last year that NFL Network was putting together a list of the top 100 players, made by the players I thought it would be a huge hit and a great list.

Needless to say, that all went out the door when Tim Tebow appeared on said list.

Yeah, I remember hearing that they have a group of players list the 20 (10?) best players in the league. This seems pretty ****** up too though, because it means that some asshat put John Kuhn in his top 20.

Ness 06-14-2013 04:51 PM

Did Graham even make the PFF list?

J-Mike88 06-14-2013 08:16 PM

They must not like Jimmy's blocking.

This is about as bad as John Kuuuuuuhn making the list last time.

niel89 06-14-2013 11:27 PM

He is the second best TE in the league so it was just a mistake. He is basically a big WR. He will put up just silly stats next year.
