Flipflop FSU and Stanford for starters.

MassNole 08-01-2013 12:19 PM

Bold Prediction: Texas A&M ends the year ranked outside of the Top 20.

A bit too bold for me. A four loss SEC team will still be ranked around 20. I think they take a step back but I don't think they will lose five.

Lol it would probably serve FSU best to not be ranked so highly for once. Then when they choke against the usual inferior opponent people won't be laughing as hard at them.

Jcn92 08-01-2013 01:48 PM

A little bit surprised to see Michigan not ranked higher. I think Oregon is ranked too high. I might put Stanford, Georgia, South Carolina, and A&M ahead of Oregon. Was very surprised to see USC on this list at all after the beating they took at the end of the season and after losing Barkley, McDonald, Woods and other key players. Also surprised to see Nebraska in the top 20, considering the way they finished last season, their performance against Ohio State, and the fact that their win against Michigan was largely unimpressive and was greatly helped by the fact that Robinson was replaced by a QB who clearly had no business being in that game. I get that FSU lost a ton of talent but I thought they might be top ten, I expected more people to be buying into their returning/emerging talent e.g. Winston, Karlos Williams, Wilder, Goldman, Darby, Joyner, Jernigan, Edwards, Christian Jones, O'Leary, Greene, Benjamin etc.

BallerT1215 08-01-2013 01:53 PM

I like the #12 rating.

mightytitan9 08-01-2013 02:19 PM

I know they lost a few people, but Kansas State still finished 11th and 12th in both major polls last season. Dropping them out of the top 25 all together seems a little excessive until they do something to prove that rating wrong.

keylime_5 08-01-2013 04:10 PM

Lots of good teams this year, helluva strong year for CFB this. I think Florida is too low but who knows, in the SEC you can lose 2 or 3 games really quick.

niel89 08-01-2013 04:27 PM

I'm surprised Stanford is so high. We have a ton of offensive skill players to replace.

JRTPlaya21 08-01-2013 04:37 PM

No Collin Klein is probably why KSU got no love.

BallerT1215 08-01-2013 04:49 PM

Klein pretty much carried that team on offense. I'm sure they are assuming a big downfall this season.

Babylon 08-01-2013 10:06 PM

I'll go with UCLA in the top 10, their pass rush is going to be insane.

Iamcanadian 08-01-2013 11:57 PM

Wisconsin and USC look risky, Wisconsin must show no ill effect from losing their HC and USC with an unproven QB and a questionable HC, will need to show real improvement to get this high.

Brent 08-02-2013 12:09 AM

Ohio St. has such an easy schedule. Go Golden Bears.

They've got a QB now who's even better physically, it's yet to be seen if he has the leadership ability Klein had though

I don't think Collin Klein carried the KSU offense last season because of his leadership skills.

they do however bring back a starter on defense

but seriously, they lost 10 of their 11 starters on D, no way they will be even remotely as effective on D as they were a year ago

It is weak. Bama's schedule is as bad as OSUs.
weak

LSU is the toughest game. A&M is grossly overrated and will get shithammered by Bama. Virginia Tech is a joke this year.

I'm thinking this is another weak cfb season again.

MassNole 08-02-2013 07:33 AM

How in the world is Southern Cal ranked?

Voters are dumb and go by name only.

Also, this is another weak crop of teams.

Their schedule is pretty soft. I guess the Notre Dame back there will be a test and then their only tough games would be UCLA and Stanford at home. That is all assuming they have their act together at QB. I think Max Browne is the best of that group but i think they'll go in another direction.

USC is probably the 4th best team in the conferance so i doubt they get into the top 20 myself.
