Looking forward to UGA/Clemson. If Murray plays well it should help his stock - don't understand that if Boyd is getting first round consideration why Murray isn't.

Game day tomorrow! WOOOOOOOOOOOO

Nkemdiche time.

jrdrylie 08-28-2013 09:33 AM

Stupid US Open being on so ESPN2 can't be showing a game. But I'm still going to have my computer on the coffee table running UCF-Akron, the big screen playing UNC-South Carolina, and then I'll bring the other big screen in, put it right next to the other one and watch Tulsa-Bowling Green. It will be fantastic.

JRTPlaya21 08-28-2013 09:47 AM

Roll Tide Rollllllll!!!!

iowatreat54 08-28-2013 01:02 PM

Finally week 1 is here! Even though we will be .500 at best this year, I've been waiting for 7 months for college football season.

Going to the Iowa game Saturday, I won't be surprised if it's a close game but I will laugh if we win. I know it's NIU, but we were so bad last year I don't know what to expect.

I thought those facemasks got outlawed?

draftguru151 08-28-2013 01:11 PM

Only in the NFL (I think).

But basically every DL has them now so they aren't nearly as cool anymore.

Don Vito 08-28-2013 01:20 PM

Unless it's on Robert Nkemdiche, then it's cool as ****.

Bert Macklin 08-28-2013 01:24 PM

It's on

They're both getting consideration but i don't think either deserves it.

What i'd like to see is TAMU sit Manziel for the Rice game so we can stop hearing the constant talk about signing autographs.

VUBlacknGold 08-28-2013 01:51 PM

Go Dores!!!! Wooooo!

BallerT1215 08-28-2013 01:58 PM

Georgia-Clemson will have all my attention Saturday night. As a FSU fan, I will root for Clemson to represent the ACC well, but it never bothers me watching Dabo get smacked around either.

JRTPlaya21 08-28-2013 02:02 PM

I asked my mom who she's cheering for since she's from Georgia & went to school at Clemson & she just laughed.

I'm assuming Georgia but I'm not sure...

Hurricanes25 08-28-2013 02:25 PM

Manziel will be suspended the first half against Rice.

Babylon 08-28-2013 02:26 PM

Boise St at Washington could be a tough one for the Huskies. Sefarian Jenkins hasn't been cleared to play and Peterson seems to always have his team ready.

Kasen Williams (UW) and Matt Miller (Boise st.) are a couple of big WRs to keep an eye on.

Yeah for the sanity of all our family down there. Honestly I don't think she cares too much.

NCAA allowed Johnny's teammates to vote on his punishment. Btw If im Clowney, im signing autographs outside the stadium and letting mom handle the transactions on the side. I'll take the half game suspension for mom making more in a few hours than she would all year, otherwise.

draftguru151 08-28-2013 02:56 PM

Considering a team is going to hand him millions next year, I think his mom will be ok without that.

Bert Macklin 08-28-2013 03:04 PM

Why put off what you can have now!!!

This has to be the dumbest suspension ever. Either he took money or he didn't. If he took money, he should be suspended for at least 4 games. If not, there is nothing illegal about signing autographs so he shouldn't be suspended at all.

There is if you sign them for someone to make a profit off them which is what he did.

draftguru151 08-28-2013 04:11 PM

A&M suspended him for being a dumbass, NCAA didn't do anything.

I meant more that either he did something wrong or he didn't. If he did something wrong (which any reasonable person can tell he did), half a game isn't enough. If he did nothing wrong, he shouldn't be suspended at all.

That isn't what the article says. Quoting the ESPN piece "The agreement between the NCAA and Texas A&M closes the book on Manziel's recent issues, a source told ESPN's Brett McMurphy." This makes it appear that the NCAA was part of it.
