Dominique Easley Tears ACL

Looks like Florida DE / DT Dominique Easley tore the ACL in his right knee in practice on September 24th. Easley is / was one of my early prospect crushes for the 2014 NFL Draft.

Easley's stock is now obviously very much in flux but this will end the Round 1 talk.

Damn that is too bad. I watched a couple series of the Miami game and he was running through their left tackle and the commentators were saying he wasn't playing very well before that. He looked great from what I saw.

That's a tough blow - He may play for the Gators but he is a dominant force to be reckoned with in every game. Hope he can work his way back in time for the draft process. Definite top half of the 1st rnder.

It's really bad for him. second ACL tear. Goes from being a 1st rounder (my grade on him) to being a 5th-6th rounder who will be lucky to play a snap in the league.

Slow down it's an ACL. If he's a quick rehab and is dedicated to the craft he may be 100%, aside from mentally trusting it, by the time rookie mini-camps roll around.

I think he'll end up a lot like Tank Carradine last year. Dominant when he played but major injury question mark. I wouldn't be shocked anywhere from 2nd round until the range you said (5th-6th) depending on whether or not the medical teams sign off on him.

Sucks. I really liked how he had started the year.

This is the second ACL tear for Easley (one each for left and right). It's likely to be problematic particularly since he won't be right for the combine or for his pro day either. That and a growing injury history is going to drop him significantly.

The fact that Easley has now suffered major injuries to both knees is disturbing. The only potential silver-lining is that it happened early in the season so there is an outside chance he may be able to workout for teams in some fashion before the draft. However, considering the uncertainty and durability concerns my guess is Easley lands somewhere in Rounds 3-5.

He does.
That website has issues.

I don't want to touch a guy with both ACLs already torn, any higher than a last round flyer.
