Time to welcome Syracuse to the ACC.

49erNation85 11-11-2013 11:04 AM

Dang this season can't get any worse for Florida. Won't even make it to a bowl game this in how long? Ugh . Can Pease or some one be fired already.

Hurricanes25 11-11-2013 12:14 PM

Miami needs to get back on track and record a W, but Duke is no cupcake. Gonna be a tough game.

See you have another bye this week.

So hyped for Ball State vs. Northern Illinois. Ball State and Toledo back-to-back always looked like the roughest patch of the Huskies' schedule, but this is the big game.

Your tone is not appreciated.

Line is at -39 btw.

It's all good. I got a free Latte at my local cafe because of Veterans Day and might go for a free meal at Applebee's. Almost makes it all worth getting shot at.

Missouri has a chance to effectively rap up this East this weekend. All they need is either a Georgia win or an SC loss.

BRAVEHEART 11-11-2013 04:19 PM

Gameday's at USC. Should be a good one.

MassNole 11-11-2013 04:31 PM

Jacob Coker out indefinitely with a torn meniscus. Will be good for Sean Maguire to get in 3.5 quarters of live action.

"I'm a little biased," wide receiver Evan Spencer told reporters Monday. "I think we'd wipe the field with both of them."

"Them" would be unbeaten Alabama and Florida State, who are 1-2 in this week's BCS standings.
I don't mind confidence, but it's kind of hard to take him seriously when they struggled with Iowa, Wisconsin, and Northwestern. FSU hasn't struggled at all, and Bama has struggled against teams that are better than the three OSU struggled against. It's clear Meyer has his team in full on campaign mode a la 2006 when he was at Florida.

Agree with both your points. Destroy all in your path and there would be more of a case.

Regardless, it's a ridiculous affair. It's on par with with figure skating, i.e. judges with vested interests voting on style points.

So STUPID. Who is bribing Jeff Sagarin to **** OSU over?

keylime_5 11-11-2013 05:30 PM

Eh, compared to FSU and Alabama it's clear both of those teams has looked better more consistentley from the beginning of the year than OSU.

I don't think there's anything wrong with the way we looked against Wisconsin (a good all around team) and Iowa (one of the better defenses in the nation). Northwestern when we played them were undefeated and healthy and at home and night on homecoming when Gameday was there on what was deemed the biggest regular season game in school history, so they played their best game possible. Plus Miller was coming back from injury and played like crap and has since played much better starting with late in the 4th quarter of that game.

I have no beef with Alabama and Florida State being 1 and 2 and Ohio State being the odd team out of the three. I think all three could beat each other in a one game scenario, they are all three very very good legit teams who could beat any other team in the country any given saturday.

RufusMcDaniel 11-11-2013 05:38 PM

Truthfully as a football fan, I hope Ohio State plays Michigan State in the BigTen championship game, which is shaping up anyway. Not that that'll change the mind of everyone but it'll be a good test for Ohio State defensively. Still not impressed with Michigan State's offence, but they've manage so far.

At the same time, if that happens I would want Lucas Oil stadium to burn to the ground that night, with the Colts in attendance.

Yes, I'm quite bitter.

MassNole 11-11-2013 05:38 PM

All i have to say to Evan Spencer is child please.

Shreckart 11-11-2013 05:57 PM

TCU @ Kansas State at 2:30 on FSN as well. Trying to get bowl eligible.

Has he sued that backup offensive line for non-support? They were terrible.

They're all freshmen and walkons and our stud freshman is out for the season.

This play was called a safety......

....What in the flying ****?

What struck me as odd was that they said it couldn't be reviewed. In the 2011 game with Miami there was not one, but two reviews on a similar play with E.J. Manuel where Jimbo Fisher literally explained the rules to the officials.

Yeah I didn't see the play happen in the game. Just the way it looks there I have to assume that he is outside of the tackle box, it looks like hes clearly throwing it out of bounds and they are calling grounding from inside the endzone...****** zebras.

The best part is they awarded Buffalo a fumble recovery in the 1st half that clearly wasn't a fumble on review - Buffalo went on to score their first TD off that. Then this play, they gave them the 2 pts and Buffalo returned the punt after to about the 30 and scored a TD.

So a game that ended 30-3 really wasn't as lopsided as it looked but the refs helped in the blowout big time.

MassNole 11-12-2013 11:44 AM

Fun fact: The last time Vanderbilt beat Florida at home, FSU didn't have a football program.

Babylon 11-12-2013 01:40 PM

Don't like Friday night games (date night) but the Washington at UCLA matchup should be a good one.

Jim Mora has serious ties to Washington and wanted the head coaching gig there that eventually went to Sarkisian. The Dawgs need a signature win for this season after losing to ASU, Stanford and Oregon. Would have been a nice late saturday night game.
