Complete NFLDC Power Rankings (and subsequent draft order)
Just over a month after we started this site-wide project, we have now completed it. There have been some controversies about some positions, but that's life. This is the draft order and power rankings that you as a board have come up with. It is recommended that you use this draft order in any 2007 mock drafts just to keep a little continuity and to keep those pesky "My team should be picking at 32!!!" comments away. Obviously you are free to use any draft order you like, but this has the NFLDC Board Stamp since it was the people who decided this. So without further ado, here it is!
32. San Francisco 49ers 31. Buffalo Bills 30. New York Jets 29. Tennessee Titans 28. New Orleans Saints 27. Houston Texans 26. Oakland Raiders (yes, predicted to have the 7th pick for 3 straight years) 25. Detroit Lions 24. Minnesota Vikings 23. Green Bay Packers 22. St. Louis Rams 21. Cleveland Browns 20. Arizona Cardinals 19. San Diego Chargers 18. Baltimore Ravens 17. Philadelphia Eagles 16. Atlanta Falcons 15. Washington Redskins 14. Tampa Bay Buccaneers 13. Miami Dolphins 12. Kansas City Chiefs 11. Jacksonville Jaguars 10. New England Patriots 9. New York Giants 8. Dallas Cowboys 7. Chicago Bears 6. Cincinnati Bengals 5. Denver Broncos 4. Indianapolis Colts 3. Seattle Seahawks 2. Pittsburgh Steelers 1. Carolina Panthers |
I like that you did this, but I think the final result just shows that people place too much value on what happened last season when trying to predict what will happen this year. Some of those teams that were great last year are going to drop, and others will rise. Thanks for doing it though. It'll be interesting to look back on this and see how accurate "our" consesus ranking was.

That is funny, TB was #27 last year
|
Not bad, although the Pats will do better, and I think Cincy will lose some games because of the Palmer injury.
|
This reminds me of how highly we thought of the Lions on this board last year  Well at least this year our expectations are so low that any success will be a positive.
|
I just did the first mock with the new order in the mock draft forum :)
|
That's odd...
Arizona was 14th last year, everyone thinks they're the most improved team (again), but they're 20th this year which is ony 3 spots above their actuall 2005 ranking. |

Power Rankings are stupid, just my opinion.

that's TERRIBLE. I'm sorry, but no one in their right mind would think the redskins will do that poorly.

16 people in their right mind thought so... And they barely made it that far, just missing out on going in quite a few consecutive polls. |
The NFL is a QB/schedule league, and every year sees 8 new teams make the playoffs. If your rankings doesn't include 8 new teams, it won't come anywhere close to looking like the real thing.
