guess nobody wanted him.

CC.SD 04-11-2007 11:29 PM

Pretty good career. Hey, he even got a ring! Thanks, Tom.

America 04-11-2007 11:30 PM

Good deal for him. He wasn't going to start again and he was heavily on the decline. It's always good for players to retire before they're too beat up and they can spend time with their kids before they get old.

moc182 04-11-2007 11:32 PM

Since he was the first pick in the first draft I remember I'll always have a soft spot for him.

Moses 04-11-2007 11:33 PM

Better to be done with the game before the game is done with you.

GB12 04-11-2007 11:36 PM

I've always liked Bledsoe, too bad that asshole had to take his job from him.

sdpads24 04-11-2007 11:39 PM

[sarcasm]Wow no one could have guessed that[sarcasm]

thule 04-11-2007 11:41 PM

We could give him to France for our Statue of Liberty thank you.

Next Best Thing 04-11-2007 11:52 PM

Why wouldn't he just go to Seattle and be a backup or something?

Why would he? He's made plenty of money, if he's not going to have any chance at a starter why stick around.

VoteLynnSwan 04-11-2007 11:56 PM

he was about 3 years late.

KCJ58 04-11-2007 11:58 PM

the only reason i liked the Patriots were cause they had Bledsoe, but after Brady took over i've hated them ever since and also they beat the Rams by a gosh darn field Goal

bored of education 04-12-2007 12:03 AM

I always liked him. He had that sick rushing touchdown last year. He ran a 40 in 5.67 at least. Blazing speed. He had a gun, good at reading defenses, earlier in his career.

Thomas7399 04-12-2007 12:05 AM

I got much respect for Drew....glad he decided to hang it up while we still remember him for being a very solid QB

TitleTown088 04-12-2007 12:12 AM

Didn't he once play with a collapsed lung? That's Favreesk.

bigbluedefense 04-12-2007 12:15 AM

A question worth pondering...is he a HOF qb?

You know coming out he ran a faster 40 than Romo right?

Im_a_Romosexual 04-12-2007 12:20 AM

its a statistical possibility, but probably not gonna happen

Great quote, but I think the game was done with him. He's not athletic at all and compound that with age and that's a double negative.

Are you only remembering his Cowboys days? He has some very good numbers and lead his team to a SuperBowl(technically won one also but was injured that whole season). He has a legitimate shot, will it happen, I have no clue but it certainly wouldn't surprise me.

bored of education 04-12-2007 01:22 AM

He made the pats who they WERE. Pitt game playoffs.

I sure wouldn't have minded him retiring just before the season finale against the Steelers 3 years ago.
He played for teams I didn't like and didn't do much positive while he was here. But he had a pretty good career, and I wish him the best.

doingthisinsteadofwork 04-12-2007 01:59 AM

I have always liked him as a QB.BUt I think this was the best move for him to make.
