Vinny Curry, DE, Marshall
Anyone see this guy play last night against West Virginia? He was in the backfield all night picking up sacks, tackles for loss, or just generally being disruptive. He finished with 11 tackles and two sacks, plus what must have been at least 3 or 4 tackles for loss. I think he forced two fumbles as well. I'm having some trouble finding the exact statistics, but I was just wondering what you guys thought of him. I know he's a junior, but he's someone that should definitely be on the radar. A little thin, but tall at 6'5" and 242 pounds.

Sounds like a good 2nd or 3rd day type DE who could project to play the 3-4 OLB position as a pro. I'm interested to know more.

This guy was a "BEAST" against West Virginia and also had a few sacks against Ohio St. the week before that. He is only a Junior so he has another year to put on some more weight, but he is definitely a sleeper to look out for.

He also gets points for being from New Jersey.

He's now listed at 263 lbs and is on pace to match his sack total from last year. I'm keeping my eye on him for the rest of the season.

I've been high on Curry for the most part of this season and have him ranked in my top 32 in my big board. He is the conerfence USA defensive player of the year and IMO one of the best 3-4 OLB in this draft. Tonight is his last game and hopefully puts up a good performance in this bowl game.

I find it odd that a lot of people are still view him as a 3-4 OLB. He's like 265-270 and looks like a perfect fit as a 43 DE. Not that he couldn't succeed at the other spot but his skill set definitely seems to fit the 40 front better right now.

Curry's size reminds of the guy in your sig, Terrell Suggs and he could end up playing similarly to him as a OLB and DE depending on the scheme.

Curry has been growing on me and I am watching the game tonight to see how he does.

Pretty sure he just got destroyed by a double team on that T.Y. Hilton TD.

he's not that fast or big for an end, but his motor and pass rush moves seem to lend very well to the NFL and he has excellent size for a 3-4 OLB.

FIU's heaviest OL is listed at 281 lbs. I was wondering why Curry looked freaking huge for 270-ish lbs

I wish Marshall wasn't allowed to play offense and FIU wasn't allowed to play defense. Couldn't care less about any of those players.

IDK....actually seemed to lack some of the explosion I remembered him having. Maybe it's the added weight.

Clearly wasn't his best night. FIU ran a lot of quick passes, but they also did a very good job blocking him out.

I'd like to see what his KEI is after the combine. If he runs a sub 4.75 at the combine and shows some explosive tendencies, I'd like to pick him up on day two.
BTW, I had Florida International picked as a bowl pick and that "little" bastard is a primary reason why I'm starting out 0-4.

Looks like 40-60 range grade in my book. Obviously that chould change after the combine.
If he benches 26+ reps and runs a sub 4.7 40...I really think he could move up to very, very early second round...
