Miami(OH) had theirs today. Combine snub Brandon Brooks had an excellent showing. Here is what Tony Pauline had to say about this workout. Pretty impressive and I hope the Steelers take him in the third.

• After sizzling during the testing portion of his workout, Brandon Brooks continued to impress during a 10-minute segment of position drills. According to scouts Brooks moved well around the field, looking fluid and smooth. At one point during bag drills he knocked over a coach from the Pittsburgh Steelers after violently striking the bag with his powerful hand punch.
Brooks is slated for a second workout next Thursday, March 8, where he will solely participate in offensive line drills. The expectations from NFL decision makers at the workout is Brooks will be the first non-combine participant drafted in April.
• There's no rest for the weary, as less than 48 hours after completion of the NFL combine in Indianapolis, scouts, coaches and general managers begin criss-crossing the nation to attend college pro days. Over the next four weeks, NFL hopefuls will be measured, tested, interviewed and drilled as teams ready their draft boards for April's event.
Two pro days started off the schedule today: Missouri and Miami-Ohio.
The Miami pro day is important, as offensive lineman Brandon Brooks, considered the highest rated player not invited to the combine, took the field. More than two dozen teams were on hand to watch Brooks today, and he did not disappoint.
The big offensive lineman measured 6-foot-5 and weighed 346 pounds. He completed 36 reps on the bench press, a number exceeded by just one offensive lineman at the combine. The same can be said for Brooks' 4.98 40 time, which included a 10-yard split of 1.71 seconds. Only Donald Stephenson ran faster at the combine. His vertical jump of 32 inches and broad jump of 8-feet, 9-inches were also superb. The 4.52 short shuttle time beat all marks from the offensive linemen who ran in Indianapolis.
Brooks in presently participating in offensive line drills for the position coaches and scouts on hand.
The big story for prospects not invited to the combine surrounds the alleged super-regional combine, which takes place at Ford Field in Detroit the final two days of March. Reports had as many as 100 of the top players not in Indianapolis last week receiving invitations to this smaller scouting event. Early excitement about the event, however, soon dissipated once the details were closely inspected.
Unlike the Indianapolis combine, the top players invited to Ford Field will have to pay their own travel expenses to and from Detroit, which does not sit well with many. Worse yet, players are reportedly participating in just a few of the combine tests (40-yard sprint, short shuttle, vertical jump and L-drill) and critical medical exams will not be performed at the regional combine.

Miami (OH) Guard Brandon Brooks had a very good pro day. He showed great athleticism (4.98, 32 inch vertical) and is a very big guy at 346. Not sure why he didn't get a Combine invite.

Lot of guys just stuck with their combine results.

Wes Kemp ran a 4.55 and 4.46 and did 22 reps on the bench. Those are pretty good times because I really thought he was a 4.68-4.75 guy.

Dan Hoch measured in at 6'6 320 pounds, had a 5.25 forty yard dash and 4.73 short shuttle.

Austin Wuebbels did 40 reps on the bench.

Missouri Linebacker Zavier Gooden who's a Senior next year ran 4.36 in the 40. Things I've heard is his personal best has been 4.32. He might be a guy to look for the in combine next season.

I think Iowa, Nevada Arkansas and Oklahoma are gonna have the biggest Pro days because of the Players involved.

All 32 teams had some form of representative at the Cincinnati Pro Day.

Iowa had 3 pro days last year because that's how we roll.

I think this year will be huge in determining where McNutt, Prater, and even Adam Gettis get drafted. If McNutt can put up another solid 40 and look better on his catching drills, he will get a nice boost. And if Gettis puts up ridiculous numbers again, people might forget that he's never healthy.

Prater is a ? because I don't think he did much at the combine (or I just missed it). He was supposed to be one of the fastest guys on Iowa the last couple years. Also, sucks that Zusevics got hurt at the combine, this would have been huge for him as well.

Also what proday #'s are acceptable to compare to combine #s? I know the 40 isn't comparable because of the field differences, but what about Height, Weight, Vert, Bench, and Broad Jump? Are those safely comparable?

I ask because this TE from Cinci, Adrien Robinson, checked in at 6-4 264, 39.5 vert, 11-3 broad jump and 15 bench. 40 was 4.55 to boot. His vert and broad jump would have been bests for a TE at the combine. Bad production, but Interesting H/W/S prospect.

Edit: Not overreacting, always had them close, recently moved Orson slightly ahead. And I still think he plays more like a mid 4.5 guy, but when your game is as speed based as his, you need better times.

I agree. His value is rooted in his ability to stretch the defense and create mismatches in the passing game. Those times don't help his case.

What about the 4.47 and 4.67 that he ran against the wind? Were those unofficial times?

Edit: Nevermind, just found the source. Those were times from another source. The 4.75 and 4.9 were the official times. Regardless, I can attest for the wind here in Athens. It's unbelievable. I drive a Z-71 and I was getting pushed around on the road.

Try the wind in Iowa. 70 degrees, with snow on the ground, and its still whipping through here at 50 miles per hour.

Whats everybody's thoughts on Arkansas RB/FB Broderick Green? Seems like he put together quite a good workout today and from what I hear he is a great locker room presence as well. He transferred at Arkansas from USC because of family issues. Anybody see any good tape on this kid? He sure is intriguing.

Apparently there was crazy wind at the Georgia Pro Day. Still though, those times make you really look at why Charles didn't run in Indy.

Any results from UCLA pro day? I know the parents were banned from being able to watch their kids (which is ridiculous), but I can't find anything on how any of the prospects performed.....

-The UCLA pro day was attended by all 32 teams and featured a number of seniors hoping to redeem themselves after failing to meet expectations in 2011. Most of the Bruins who took part in the workout impressed scouts.
The story of the day was receiver Nelson Rosario who was graded as a late-round pick entering the year. Rosario measured 6 feet, 5 1/2 inches, 230 pounds then ran 40 times of 4.55 into a stiff headwind. His other marks included a vertical jump of 36.5 inches and a broad jump of 10 feet, 1 inch. All were outstanding results for Rosario, who caught the ball well during drills. Scouts were impressed the way the big pass-catcher was able to quickly get into pass routes and stay on balance exiting breaks. There's a feeling Rosario could add weight to his frame and eventually develop into a field-stretching tight end.

-Safety Tony Dye, graded as a mid-round choice coming into the season only to struggle with several injuries, also turned in a solid performance. Dye was credited with an official 40 time of 4.56 seconds, posted 4.15 seconds in the short shuttle and 7.02 in the three cone. He also touched 36.5 inches in the vertical jump. These numbers were competitive with many of the safeties at the combine. He later looked smooth and quick in position drills.

-Former Vanderbilt cornerback Jamie Graham, who transferred to UCLA only to miss most of the season with injury, also turned heads with a good workout. Ditto for Josh Smith, the receiver/return specialist transfer from Colorado who was forced to play in the secondary last season after injuries started to mount for the Bruins. Both looked camp worthy and should be signed soon after the draft ends.

Minnesota had their pro day. They don't have many real prospects this year, but DT Anthony Jacobs should get some attention.

He ran a 4.7 40, but even more impressive, had a 35.5 vertical leap, which is the best I've heard for a DT this year. Michael Brockers had a 26.5 vertical, Fletcher Cox had a 26 vertical.

He weighed in at 291, so he'll be a UT or 3-4 DE in the pros or have to put on weight, but that vertical alone makes him worth a flyer in the pros.

Anyone find it odd that the Patriots let Ryan Mallett throw at the Arkansas pro day yesterday? Is that a common thing? To have a former qb come back and throw. Isn't Tyler Wilson allowed to do it? Or, Belichick showcasing Mallett a little.

He is not. There is a rule against underclassmen performing in positional drills at pro days.

Yes they can. Just can't participate in positional drills. I just remember it being brought up last year at FSU's workout because they didn't have any senior WR's who could participate so they had to bring in some random guys to catch passes from Ponder.

- Wisconsin's Pro Day seemed to go very well for Kevin Zeitler. Apparently scouts were leaving the work out calling him "outstanding."

- After today there are also rumors that Konz may be quickly rising up draft boards due to his ability to not only play center, but guard, and even right tackle in the pros, a lot like New Mexico's Ryan Cook from a few years back.

- A small schooler also impressed at the badger Pro Day. Beloit's Derek Carrier put up monster numbers, including a 6.69 3-Cone Drill!!! He was three sport athlete all through college and put up great numbers on the football field his senior season. His raw potential will certainly make a team take a late round flyer on him.
