Default Stedman Bailey, WR, West Virginia

This guy needs to start getting way more love. Patterson and Austin have more potential, but Bailey is a much surer thing imo. He screams wes welker 2.0 to me, a little golden tate to his game too, toughness for a smaller guy. hes smallish and not that fast, other than that his game has very few holes from what im seeing.

very fast out of cuts, runs great routes, has very good hands. his explosiveness and route running would make him a monster in the slot, the fact that hes small and not the fastest make him a likely candidate to end up there at the NFL level anyway.

Despite the fact that he translates very well to the pro level, i dont see him getting much talk which is odd but may be a product of the fact that he doesnt make the wow plays like austin/patterson do.

I disagree, Bailey just isn't an explosive athlete and with his size, he likely cannot play on the outside in the NFL. His stats are very misleading as he played in an offense that threw the ball most of the time which inflated his stats. His straightline speed is average and he won't be able to create much separation downfield.

He is just an average athlete who got to play in an offense that would make any WR look good. Unlike Austin, he just isn't explosive enough nor fast enough to ever be much of a pro.
He'll likely be a 4th or 5th rounder at best.

Antonio Brown.

Bailey looks plenty explosive on the field. Don't judge him on his 40. He just isn't a natural sprinter to translate it into the 40. On the field he looks explosive enough.

You wanna talk average straightline speed, Kendall Wright has average speed. If Kendall Wright can go in the 1st round, so should Bailey. And I wasn't even a Wright fan last year.

I see Bailey as a similar athlete to Devone Bess, who went undrafted due to lack of athleticism and explosion. However, he had the work ethic and intelligence to pick up an NFL offense and has developed into a very good slot receiver. I agree that Bailey will never become a weapon on the outside, but I think he has a better chance of finding success than most players coming into the league with his level of talent.

Much better than Bess. Bess is much slower and has a worse shuttle and 3-cone time. For a slot WR, Bess doesn't have great measurables in those two departments.

As I said above, think Antonio Brown. I think Bailey will be much better in the Redzone/Endzone, though.

Bailey doesn't remind me much of Antonio Brown as a prospect, and I had watched at least 75% of his games while at Central Michigan. I'm not sure who I'd compare him to because I'm not real big into comparisons, but I'm not seeing the Brown one.

Allright, that's fair. Not the most thought out comparison.

I think I read yesterday that 72 of his 114 catches this past season went for a 1st down or TD.

That is production!

As for the NFL, I only see him as a solid slot WR but nothing spectacular.

Better than tavon Austin IMO. More physical player who can take the beating over the middle.
