It's probably true.
I was watching one of those wild video shows on spike the other day and it showed a crash just like that but the moose was godarn sitting in the passenger seat after he crashed through the window. His head was sticking out of the window of course. So basically, exactly like that picture but the moose was flipped. Classic.

I'm going to put my money on that they were doing a project on plate techtonics and they were putting Africa and South America together and they overlapped it a lot and got T-Rex.
