Bears madden 08 roster
I was thinking about making this into a thread but I guess I'll just do it in here. I wanted to update my Madden 08 with all the trades and FA and after doing that I always realize that these players got cut and let go for a reason. So what do you think our players overalls would be? Mainly I wanted help with what the guys who aren't in the game overalls should be.
Brandon Mcgowan?
Jamar Williams?
Dusty Dvoracek?
Grossman. I dropped grossmans awarness and accuracy. overall went to 83.
Orton?
I dropped Benson's awareness break tackle blocking and catch. overall 83.
Hester I put up to a 79 overall
Olsen to 86 overall.
I need help with overalls and the main stuff like speed, strength. I hope i'm not the only one who plays madden, lol. thanks.

I think Brandon McGowan will be around 75-77, they dont give that great of ratings for safteys. EX) Chris Harris in 08 (I just borrowed game from friend) is a 75ovrl.
Jamar Williams, idk what he is now, but I could see same range, possibly a 74 or 73.
Orton 78
Grossman 84
Benson 83 (i like it)
Anderson stays
McBride 76ish
IMO
Dusty mid 70's, b/c they dont see much of him.

i would personally just replace harris with mcgowan. keep the overall close.
i would also make both grossman and orton the same at like an 80 or 81 since it seems orton is going to have the main shot at starting heading into next year but not clear cut
ive put dusty in before too and made him i think a 79 with low awareness due to lack of experience and a low injury since hes hurt all the time. but i made his physical stats pretty good so he has a lot of potential.

pfft....just an early guess but ill give it a shot:
williams: athletic, seems pretty smart, not overpoweringly strong though. id aim for his overall to be maybe better than staley's was last year but probably not by much. id guess a mid 80's overall for him
forte: pretty good all around i think. stronger than faster though of course. im trying to think of some rookies from last year to compare him to but i cant....i would say make him an upgraded michael bush maybe? get his overall around 80 id say...idk for sure though

wow...thats awful. i dont remember him being that bad holy crap....
if you drafted a 1st round rated OT at 14 in their in-game drafts he would usually be a whole lot higher that a 77....
oh well..its madden....i've seen crazier things happen on there

yeah but in the in-game drafts, you can find guys in the 2nd round who are still 80+ overalls.
pretty much any first rounder should be IMO....
madden just likes to grossly overrate veterans imo

Actually Rex has the inside track to the starting job. They wouldn't have brought him back if Orton was going to start. Not to mention if you've ever been to a Bears training camp you'd know Rex is awesome in TC. Because of all the Bears QB's we've had in recent years.
Rex has a great arm. He can make every throw and has a great arm. Plus he can add touch to his passes, which seems to be Orton's problem. Everything seems to be a bullet. But with no pass rush and just letting these guys throw. Rex will beat Orton every time.

That's why they have what are called pre-season games, to evaluate players in live game action. They aren't going to base their decision off TC drills lol.
I still think Rex wins though.

I think Orton gives us a better chance to win. Doesn't turn it over as much as will let check it down. I think Orton will do better with more twin TE sets.

totally.
dont know if this makes sense to anyone else but i think rex may have a better chance of putting up bigger numbers but orton gives us the best chance to actually win the game
