Just watch the HBO special in Hopkins vs Calzaghe.. Calzaghe seems pretty confident. B-Hop is the usual executioner. I think this is gonna be a really good fight.

Calzaghe already knocked down in the 1st and he's already busted open.

I really thought watching it that B-Hop had done enough to win, no way did Calzaghe win by 5 clear rounds like 1 judge said.

I think Calzaghe did plenty to win. Bernard one good pucnh a round wasn't enough. The 1st round was Hopkins and he may have won 2-3 other rounds.

<+ScottWright> Why not. Baldwin does need a sparring partner...

Yeah, I agree. You could make the argument that he won the last 7 rounds or so. I was disappointed in this one.

Yeah should be good, don't sleep on Lockett. I take Pavlik to win, but Lockett should be a decent test IMO, he's no can.

hmmm...maybe u know more about Lockett than me but I think Pavlik should have an easy time. I expect him to get him outta there in 6 or maybe less. The fights this weekend are awesome tho. Williams-Quintana rematch is great, Juanma-De Leon is a fight I love, and Vernon Forrest- Sergio Mora is interesting as well. So a good night for fights, my tivo will be going. UFC tonight to haha

Lockett's coming out of the Calzaghe camp so he's definitely going to be gritty, tough, relentless, maybe lacking in skill but he won't be an easy out is what I'm saying. Pavlik will have to put in the work to put him away.

Anyone actually disappointed that we won't get to see a rematch between Floyd Mayweather and Oscar De La Hoya?

The 1st fight wasnt all that great...De La Hoya is nearing the end and Mayweather's heart isnt in it anymore. So, i could really care less about that fight.
I think more people are mad that we may never see Mayweather fight Cotto.

Anyone just watch that fight? Ponce De Leon done in the 1st! Wow!
The speed and perfection of his punches was outstanding.

Which is good, I didn't want to see him beat Oscar another time anyway, there really was no competition left, he might as well retire on top, ask Roy Jones about that I'm sure he feels the same way...Tarnished his legacy somewhat by sticking around and losing fights.

Paul Williams looked great. JuanMa looked great. Pavlik crushed the tomato can. Sergio Mora impressed me. It was a good week for boxing.
And rumor has it that Mayweather's retirement has to do with Dana White's big announce regarding the UFC on Thursday.

My gosh Manny Pacquiao is a freakin beast, most exciting fighter in quite some time. I too worried about him moving up to this weight class but damn he is still has that speed but even more strength now. He's the real kimbo slice, street fighter to champ, and he was a real street fighter, fighting for money just enough for food, not the Kimbo internet junk. The guy shouldn't be this good because he fights so wildly but hey, it's fun to watch.

Pac's fightin a lot more controlled now. He's not just a free swinger anymore. He's an animal but Diaz isn't a top notch fighter.

Pac Man put on one of the more impressive performances I have seen last night. The man is one of the fastest punchers I have ever seen. He threw 4 punch combos with just his right hand before resetting into his stance. The best part is that they came with power. He proved it last night, Pac Man is #1 p4p.
