Wouldn't that be funny to see the guys on NFL Live discussing this article ? hahahah Trey Wingo and Marcellus Wiley and Golic?? Oh my god that would be a riot! Chris Carter - "Ya, Bruschi really is a jerk." Wingo - "Belichick really loves those cameras. What do we call this, PornGate?"

Please explain what writing an article that you have inside information for has to do with being a piss poor writer? I just don't see the link between a journalist having inside information, that a lot of readers would be interested in, and being a bad writer.

Maybe I'm miss reading that, and this

I'm having a hard time believing he has no grudge.

This sounds like something my little brother would write and try to pass on as something real.

Honestly, doesn't anyone else think this is a joke or something?

Journalists, first and foremost aren't writers. They don't have to create much of anything. They collect facts and put it into a very rigid structure.

The second thing is Journalists are all taught to cover your own ass. He wouldn't have said any of this without having some proof. There's a reason slander leaves you open to a civil suit.

The guy has used what he's seen from the players and staff's interactions and posted it. He's also opened up a can of worms with the sex tape thing but realistically he made the claim that the woman's husband has a tape and is filing a civil suit, this is something that is pretty hard to make up.

I personally wouldn't dump on the people I worked with in an industry for an internet blog, its not how I conduct myself professionally. It doesn't make you a bad writer, maybe a bad person with a ****** soul, the profession is like that, we're all assholes.

The structure and the formality of the language is imposed by the publication. Different news papers and magazines have different style guides some a few pages, some a few inches thick.

What I'm saying is that the guy wrote a story based on information he was able to pick up in a style he wanted to use.

There's nothing wrong here professionally, if there's an issue, its an ethical one and it has nothing to do with being a writer or a journalist or anything.

My bad, he is a crappy writer/journalist, whatever you want to characterize him as, but that doesn't instantly qualify what he wrote as garbage. Judging by the response to the article I'd say it's of more value than a lot of the NFL related articles at this time of year.

Is it really that shocking to you that NFL fans might be interested in how players act behind closed doors? If so I don't know what I could do short of introducing you to some actually living, breathing NFL fans. You might find it garbage but I can assure you that that opinion is not unanimous amongst nfl fans.
