1 week or 2 weeks between the CC's and the Super Bowl?
Which to you prefer, 1 week or 2, between the Conference Championships and the Super Bowl?
I like the Super Bowl the week immediately after the Conference Championships.
Reasons.
1. Time does not drag as much waiting for an event that is more often than not a blowout. In fact 1 week Super Bowls are usually more competitive than the 2 week wait/
2. Less hype. Everyone knows the Super Bowl is taking place. We don't need more hype.
3. Less stupid questions. I don't need to know what a player had for breakfast or what a third string guard's favorite childhood cartoon was.

1 week would be better. I remember how hard the two weeks were to wait last year. Way to much hype and then they run oout of things to hype so they go onto meaningless things by the end of the 1st week.

2 weeks, I don't have a **** fit when I have to wait a little longer, and its better for the players. They have a lot of extra things to do in preparation of the game not relating to football.

A few years ago they did the 1 week thing and it was great. Like most people have said, the 2 week thing starts to drag out and the media which is as dumb as rocks in the first place, starts to even ask dumber questions.

Agreed, everything that surrounds the game neccessitates an extra week.
Not to mention that you want as many healthy players as possible.
Here's a tip, don't like all the media coverage? Don't watch it.

I'd rather have it be 1 week, but as others have said, it's better for the players and the game because they get the extra week to rest and gameplan.

All the media hype doesn't start until next week. All the sports media talks alot about it last week, but not a whole lot for the rest of hte media.
As for me personnally I don't really mind the extra week. It really sucks this week that theirs no footballm, that just increases the desire for it next week.
