Yes, he didn't look good. Lofton looked good, and so did Boley. 59 wasn't orgasmic like he was last year though.

Michael Turner looks so fat but he's so fast. It makes no sense.

Ya but Boley n Lofton did their jobs. I think the Falcons were playing a more conservative D, very little blitzing (which Boley is great at). He still had a solid 7 tackles. Good start.

That's why they call him "The Burner".

Good: Michael Turner
Bad: Michael Turner facing me in my fantasy league
Overall I am ecstatic as a Falcons fan. I am still unsure of what to expect the rest of the way though.

From what I have heard and read everywhere, Abe was insane, but Jamaal was beating his man and getting held constantly and really wreaking havoc on his side causing trouble, and he also got a half sack...

I have him in like 20 leagues, but I don't pay attention to them. I just draft for them.

On the whole Turner fantasy thing, I drafted him, but he was on the bench. That's a real kick in the crotch. It's tough to give him a spot with Westbrook/Portis as my backs though.
Regarding this post, Abraham was a monster. That is correct. He was primed for another sack, but a terrible holding occured, and was not called. The Lions were actually doing quite a bit of holding on both sides. Jamaal wasn't beating his man too often. He got by him a couple of times, but the ball was already out. He was right by Kitna, and even got a piece of him on Abraham's last two sacks. Tossup. He could have gotten a half of a sack, but he didn't. Can't argue with it really. It was his best showing thus far, but he still has a ways to go.

It's a shame. I knew I should of at least tried to trade for him before his trade value just skyrocketed a few hours ago. Damn.

May I ask who the other running backs are that are on your team that would warrant them a starting spot on your lineup over Turner, who faced Detroit's defense? Benching Turner when he's facing Detroit is kinda, to be quite honest, stupid.

He said Westbrook and Portis.
I probably would have went with Westbrook and Turner, but you can't really go wrong with those three.

Westbrook and Turner easily would have been my selection. The Redskins are abysmal this year and Portis is going to struggle mightily. I love Portis, but I had to pass on him many times this year, was tough to do, but overall I ended up with some stud stacked teams.

Man, I was pumped after those first couple TD's. Turner looked great as stated before, he was shoving people to the ground, but at the same time has the speed to run past them. Matt Ryan didn't make any mistakes, exactly what we need from here. John Abraham is as good as ever, and I see him breaking the double digit barrier again this season. Keith Brooking looked slow, out of position, and whiffed on a ton of tackles, get Stephen Nicholas in there soon. O-Line looked great. Kudos to Jamaal Anderson on the half sack. Jerious Norwood and Roddy White impressive as usual.

Roddy White had one good play, but other than that, I thought he'd do a lot more or better than he actually did because after all, it is the Detroit defense we're talking about. However, it is probably because we didn't throw too much because our running game was doing so good. I expect Roddy White to have much better games than this though. This is probably a 'below average' game compared to what he's able to do.

i was pissed when abe went to the sideline hobbling. thank god it was nothing serious. it really gets old season after season seeing him get hurt. when hes on the field he absolutely dominates.
i'm a worrywart. already i'm worried about the bucs next wk. past few seasons they have dominated us with their defense. they didnt look too great against the saints but they have an aggressive defense that can make matt ryan very uncomfortable.

I looked so dumb in the sports bar, but I really didn't care. I acted a fool but after last season, seeing Matt Ryan toss a TD over 60 yards to Jenkins on the third play of the game, seeing Turner bust one for 66 the next drive, I couldn't help it.

I also want to say Jerious Norwood deserves some compliments. Over six yards a carry for nearly one hundred yards, and a career high fourteen carries.

If we play as poorly as we did against the Saints, we can't win. I don't think that will happen two weeks in a row though. Or at least I hope it won't.

No doubt we wont be able run as well as we did today against the Bucs- i think we will gash them early as they generally struggle against power backs being smaller but they will adjust and it will become harder. Im 50-50 as to our chances with the play of Matt Ryan (mainly no turnovers when throwing more) being key areas. Not saying we have got SOO much better but i honestly never really rated the Bucs last year and aside from a good passD and injuries to every other team in the division i cant seem to work out how they won the division.
I think to win this game Ryan will have to throw the ball a little more. Remembering Mr Joyner seems to think Roddy is the best WR in the NFL against quality opponents and the bucs WERE good against the pass in 2007. A nice balance would be for Ryan to get up around the 220YD 1TD range with about 20 attempts with Turner and Norwood hitting 120 and 50 yards of 18 and 8 carries respectivly.
Our CB's will have a far umm "fairer" game against the bucs, they will be able to take a few more risks seeing as they arent convering guys 15 times their size.
Man Dahl and Clabo are two angry humans out there though so im sure we will have a fair deal of punch (which may have two meanings) in the run game and i cant wait to see Blalock and Baker continue to progress.
----
Does any one else see a possible issue on the horizon with Roddy White? HE is one of my favourite players but he has stated repeatitly that he wants to make the probowl this year but rushing for 300 yards and a QB only throwing 13 times isnt gonna get him there. In the "ask the coach" on AF.com he said (jokingly) to just come out throwing all day. Hopefully his main goal is the team
He seems to have heaps of swagger and confidence on the feild now i just hope he doesnt loose patience and sees that easing Ryan along this year will be better for both their careers in the future because if we can run it like today every week, thats exactly what we will do. I love White im just hoping no issue arises as I know TD and Smith wont tolerate Diva-ism from their players and i want Roddy White to be Matt Ryan's Marvin Harrison 5+ years down the track

HAHA you acted a fool? Try sitting on your PC at 3am fist pumping and letting out a few "come ons" and then heading university all day looking like you havent slept in months. I will admit though dude, i thought i was hijucinating when gametrack kept showing me big redish-black lines for 60 plus yards in the first quarter and then to be able to watch it from the stream a few seconds later, awesome.
