Sapporo does have wheat and cereal malts in it... but, the mix is cut with rice... like 40% or something.

I am looking to try one that has at least a 60% majority or higher.

I gotta say, brewing your own is well worth it. There's a beer out here called Beez Neez, which is honey based but I find it slightly too sweet. So I halved the honey mixture in my micro brew and because there's no preservatives and its lite (yet 5.7% alcohol) I find I can have 5 or 6 or these a night for a nice buzz and wake up feeling awesome.

For all you non-Texas residents, I am on my 6th Lone Star Light tallboy. It's 4.70-something for a 6er and it's cheaper than probably anything you can all buy. So, what local brews can you get for cheap?

berghoff.
berghoff lager is awesome because it's one of the few beers i can have 6 of and still manage to be vertical somewhat... and it tastes good. and it's 5.40 a 6er. and that's in chicago. where taxes are as high as a kite.

It's the same as when I'm not on a budget:
$4.73 for a 6-pack of tallboys.

Dude it's not even nearly that bad. It's so cheap because it's brewed less than 2 hours from here.

I think it's more about obscure beer given the title. And if you are referring to the Lone Star above, dont knock it till you try it.

This thread is about beer, while i mostly despise the crap, it's still beer and it is allowed to be discussed. Hell, I think it was on page 3.

I'm drinking Green Flash West Coast IPA right now. Had a 22 of their Imperial IPA about 4 months ago. Can't decide which one is better. Then again they are probably similar enough that I probably can't recall any differences from 4 months ago.

I moved from Portland, OR to Whitewater, WI. I go from the capital of microbrews to a place that only has Leinenkugels. Don't get me wrong Leiny's is damn good, but I already miss Widmer Bros, Rogue, and Red Hook.
