The changes and improvements are somewhat noticeable in those titles, not so much with GOW 2. Why mess with a good thing? You can make it better without messing it up. I will be taking it back, fwiw.

Gears 2 has blown my mind. Seriously, everyone should pick it up so we can get some NFLDC games going. Multiplayer is awesome. Blockbuster today will have it so cheap bastards like JBond should pick it up.

It is like Gears 1 on crack. I was a big fan of Gears but this gam is just so much more awesome. I have yet to play single player because Multi is just so ******* fun.

Next games on my list are NCAA Basketball 09 that looks pretty sweet and Left 4 Dead. I'll probably be waiting a little while on that one, though.

2k basketball has always owned EA in both NBA and College Basketball. I'm sure 2K9 probably trumps Live.

I will once agan say Gears 2 is damn awesome. Way better than Gears 1. The weapons are better, the maps are better, the animation is better, everything about playing it live is better.

Of course online is amazing but, I'm really excited they beefed up the campaign. Longer levels, larger enviroments, and actually a good story.

I'm kind of reluctant to play, though...I may hold off on the campaign until my buddy comes home from college on like the 20th.

I missed the 1st and wish I had played it now that I'm seeing how this one plays out, but how is the online play, is it like GTA IV with different set ups or is it an all-out melee?

It was alot of other games I wanted too, I just can't buy a bunch of games all at once or else I'll never play them.

Join me in playing Gears online right now and find out. It is 5 on 5 with a lot of different modes. Some of the modes are ******* brilliant.

Ditto. For a while I thought I was the only one who felt the same way. It's a beautiful game to look at but it just gets awfully repetitive, for me at least.

Speaking of Halo... I'm kinda like a few of you guys, in that I'm in a small minority of people who strongly dislike Halo. To be fair to the game though, I'm a PS2 convert and thus never played the first two. And I suck at Halo. I think that if I go at a guy who has a nice weapon, and I just have my assault rifle, the rifle shouldn't be totally useless.

Yeah, possibly. I remember there would be times where I'd play pretty well for stretches. I also remember my #1 kill move was "Charge enemy while emptying assault rifle clip at them and then press B." That was personally satisfying.

I hate Halo, GoW is at least playable for me. I guess I am in the minority a lot when it comes to video games.

I think a big reason Halo turns people off is that it takes practice to compete in the game. Im a 50 in halo and i still come across kids far better then i am. Halo requires a lot of skill to be good at, or hoping the spawn points dont completely screw you over.

Same reason people love it, because it takes skill. I always had fun with friends on it.

Agreed, the same reason i dislike Call of duty. I think COD is for the casual gamer, and Halo plays tribute to the people who put the time into it. Ive been Lanning since halo 1 so im sure that prolly helps.

Ha, yeah. In all these games, I always hit a wall myself, which is fine, it still is fun.

I wish I could fix this NAT stuff to play Gears more. But, even after resetting the router, the default username/pass doesn't work. Grrr
