lol, there is also a rumor the English our DC is looking at SDSU and EMU. The more logical connection is to EMU because Lloyd Carr is helping the school look for a new HC.

SDSU really could use a defensive minded HC right now. Chuck Long completely ignored the defense

English was an assistant there early in his career so there is also a connection there. The guy is an amazing recruiter. With ties to California and also the Virginia-Maryland area. Of our eight recruits like 5 are tied to English. Whatever team gets him will get one hell of a coach. I really wish Louisville would get him. But i think that is unlikely.

That is true but they really had a talented RS freshman at QB this year who I liked in particular. I'll agree with your point though.

Ryan Lindley did play well but a lot of it has to do with their depth at WR.

English made a miracle in Louisville with our Defense. He can do it. The guy is an amazing coach. And i know any Michigan fan would say the same thing. The guy just produces.

Ego sure seemed to slow them down from hiring Weis.

Against traditional offenses, he's terrific. Against spread offenses, he's ******* terrible. Refuses to make adjustments or makes them too late, tries to cover slot guys with a LB, goes too conservative at times, etc...But players love playing for him.

English is a fantastic recruiter. Half of the recruits that Michigan got over the 2006 and 2007 season were because of him.

Its the same way with louisville this year. like all of our recruits are there because of him. Thats why i am scared that where ever he goes, that those recruits will follow him.

I doubt the recruits trying to go to a big east school like Louisville will settle to go to EMU or SDSU

Word is that Clemson is staying with Dabo Sweeney and taking the interim title off of him. I think this is a bad move on the part of Clemson.

The players like him so it may be an attempt to get guys like Spiller to stay.

So, everyones opinion is appreciated...Will Weis be fired? I think that he will be fired just for the simple fact that I think the AD would endorse him if he was staying.

I don't like it, but the players love the guy. So like SK said, I'm guessing it's just to try to minimize the amount of recruits who decommit and a last ditch attempt to keep CJ Spiller.

EMU's leading candidate looks to be a former Michigan assistant, but not Mr. English. Looks like Scott Loeffler is the leading man right now.

Yes he was. Warren was supposed to go to SC for the longest time, but somehow English coaxed him into going to UM. Amazing.

what's with all these articles and speculation about Urban Meyer and Notre Dame? The man turned down the Notre Dame job offer and went to Florida, why would he reconsider after making Florida the top program in the country?

The reports are coming out because Meyer still says that ND is his dream job, and he would love to coach there some day. He turned the job down four years ago because he wanted to spend time with his children, and he could recruit in florida, but with ND you have to travel the country, but now his children are grown up, I believe his oldest child is 16. And of coursae there may be an opening at ND, hence the articles. I dont think it will happen, but Meyer has said that ND is his dream job.
