I don't care...

It still makes me feel like he was putting up yards for the sake of putting up yards. Which IMO takes away from say Marino who put up his yards posting a great record with his team.

Great season by Brees. I like to see records broken and I like Brees but it would have been a shame to see Marino's name wiped from the record books. When you look at single-season and career marks for yards and TD passes this is the last one left of the four he once held.

One thing that has not been mentioned about Marino's 1984 season is that he also had 48 TD passes with his 5,084 yds, smashing the previous record by 12.
