Getting an athlete who is actually a threat to throw the football is the next big step in the Wildcat.

Even without the threat of the pass it can be executed against sorry to average defenses. But when you talk about elite defenses as far as talent and discipline, you gotta have the threat of the pass.

It opens it up so much more especially off the play action. It is so easy to get the defense to bite when you get the QB to fake it to the RB and instead of running himself, being a threat to throw in the void that the defense leaves across the middle of the field or even down the sidelines.


You get a team innovative and bold enough to draft that type of personnel and you really will start to see this offense here to stay for quite some time in the NFL

Most of us don't think that, but it seems like everyone in the media does. I mean sure, we've made some alterations but I don't think anyone knowledgeable is claiming that we brought it to the NFL. It wasn't the Falcons either, it's been around for a long time.
