Wade and Jerry are doing their best 04 Bill Parcells impression with the draft they put in two years ago.
Anthony Spencer, James Marten, Doug Free, Isiah Stanback.
The jury's still out on Spencer, but those next three picks really don't look like they'll ever amount to anything.
If it weren't for Nick Folk in the 6th, i wouldn't know what to make of that draft. We can't just decide to have a good draft every other year. Story of the Cowboys. Inconsistency, inconsistency, inconsistency.

That Chargers draft is pretty outstanding.

The Falcons traded up to get Michael Jenkins. The Colts traded down with the Falcons, then traded down again with the Steelers, and took Bob Sanders.

1996 Draft, best first 2 picks in any team history:
Jonathon Ogden, UCLA
Ray Lewis, University of Miami

< Derrick Brooks and Warren Sapp. Obviously amazing players but calling them the best first 2 picks smells pretty homery to me. unless you're saying first two picks out of the gate as a franchise; in that case, pretty odd set of parameters, and why would you want to remind anyone about a stolen team?

I'd take Ogden and Lewis 10x over Brooks and Sapp, and I <3 Brooks and Sapp.
I can't think of a better first two picks from a team than those two, but Tomlinson and Brees isn't half bad, off the top of my head.
