Yeah I like the two hires of DC and OC.
I just wonder if this means that Culpepper's stay in Detroit is going to be a tad. He did coach in Minny through Culpepper's short lived high time, but honestly I don't see how Daunte can stay healthy for another 4 games, let alone a season.

Not me. I drafted Stafford and Calvin is the front runner for the MVP.

Per Rotoworld:
Quote:
Lions coach Jim Schwartz downplayed the possibility that offensive coordinator Scott Linehan's history with Daunte Culpepper would lead to the quarterback remaining in Detroit.
"I don't want that connection," said Schwartz. "We were very clear that that connection isn't going to necessarily mean we're either keeping or not keeping Daunte."
|
Hah, I wish Schwartz left his response as that.

I was just thinking.. we hired the Coach of the 2nd Worst team in the NFL, and the Defensive Coordinator of the 3rd Worst team this year.
I like the hires, though.. Just kinda funny when you look at it like that.

Still an upgrade over 32nd ranked everything.
Just think, if this cycle repeats itself the next 30 years, then we'll have the #1 ranked everyone by 2040!

All hires so far are high IQ, high intensity guys. Very methodical hiring, I like our options since each coordinator has head coaching experience. (I know that was already said but worth repeating) They should all be on the same page. That is the key imo, everybody speaking the same language and sold out to the Schwartz's game plan baby ...

Does any QB in this class compare to a young Pep? That might be one they look at.

Stafford shares some similarities though too.

Hopefully Culpepper can teach Stafford how to get his roll on.
