I think my sixth grade flag football kids could have put up a 40 burger on those Vikings.

I know it's a joke, but I still take Champ over any single player on the Ravens or Steelers D. I know it's the wrong opinion, I just have an elite CB fetish.

I'd say Ravens were the more dominating defense, but I'd put the Steelers as the better team.

The 2000 Ravens went I think 5 weeks in a row during the regular season without scoring an "offensive" touchdown. Enough said.. Their defense won the championship. (IMO)

Just wondering but how tough was Baltimore's schedule in 2000? I don't remember.

If you took out all of the Ravens and Steeler's fans votes the Ravens defense would be winning 91% to 9%. Give or take a percentage point or two, because there were some guys I wasn't sure who they were fans of. But basically, Steelers fans make a bigger percentage of the Steelers' defense than Ravens fans make of the Ravens' defense.

Although their regular season numbers were similar, the postseason numbers are the ones that show how dominant the 2000 ravens defese was. the steelers defense allowed 20.3 ppg while the ravens allowed 5.8 ppg. the ravens only gave up 1 offensive TD in 4 games while the steelers gave up 8 offensive TD in 3 games.
Ravens playoff opponents
Wilcard round denver 30.3(regular season ppg) 3(points scored against the ravens)
Divisional round tenesee 21.6(regular season ppg) 10(points scored against the ravens)
AFC Championship oakland 29.9(regular season ppg) 3(points scored against the ravens)
Superbowl XXXV giants 20.5(regular season ppg) 7(points scored against the ravens)(kick return TD)
Steelers playoff opponents
Divisional round chargers 27.4(regular season ppg) 24(points scored against the steelers)
AFC Championship ravens 24.1(regular season ppg) 14(points scored against the steelers)
Superbowl XLIII arizona 26.7(regular season ppg) 23(points scored against the steelers)

Does Champ Bailey have four straight multi-sack games to start his playoff career? Didn't think so! :D

That's what i noticed when i saw this bumped. The ones that voted for Pittsburgh were the Mr.Stiller's of the SWDC world.

I voted for Pitt prior to the playoffs I feel their defense was more dominant during the regular season.
as for overall.. I take the 2000 Ravens D. Their playoff defense was insane.

Same here... I don't really think there's anybody arguing for the Steelers D anymore.
