Not really, I prefer the younger stronger more athletic Bannan and now Bannan will have to bench it for Gregg. Not overly excited about this, would rather have the cap space.

PFFFTTT!!! I will take Gregg over Bannan. Gregg will help get pressure on the QB way more than Bannan can.

Gregg coming back means that Ngata will play the 3-4 DE again, and I think he was better there than at NT. Good news IMO.

Was Ngata playing NT in the AFC Championship Game? He was a flat out beast that game. Where exactly does Ngata excel anyways? I never usually watch just him during games.

Dude I always watch him and he is such a beast run stopper. On passing plays he eats up 2 o-line man and lets other people get pressure as well as the pressure he gets. He is so awesome

we can rotate Bannan in so Ngata,Gregg,Bannan are fresh. I agree Bannan is good but I love what Gregg brings.

Well since Mattison is going to continue what Rex did. I think we might even see Bannan, Ngata, AND Gregg in on the same plays. Thats a 3 man 950lbs+ defensive line that can bring the pressure AND shut down runs. Not to mention we will probably rush Suggs (if hes still a Raven) as well. Those 4 alone, could easily disrupt the pocket so we can have more guys in coverage. Somewhat like what the Titans did this year.

I agree with BBB I wouldn't be surprised to see Pryce being the guy rotating in and out... him being fresh and ready for none running situations would produce a stronger Trevor Pryce..

IMO, you cant have enough of 300+ hard working big men who are talented.... Ngata, Gregg, Bannan, Pryce, and others will keep our big men fresh... and i really like Gregg so glad to see that he will be back

yes the possibilities are endless. But It looks like we will have some darn good players fresh as can be when the 4th quarter comes.

That would really help out our pass rush late. IMO it wasn't good at all near the end of games. Our defense could be even better next year... although a lot depends on our FA's.

If Gregg comes back and can still play at a high level(he's getting up there in age), then he will certainly be a welcome addition to that D-line, and it always helps the depth to have the players we have on that line.

I think even if his play drops from elite to above average we should still be good. Add in Barnes and McClain to rotate w/ Suggs. We will have some fresh pro bowlers in the 4th quarter. And that will help our secondary a ton because IDK if we can fix our secondary in a season.
