Good job 5 Fingers Of Death, you just found another homer Pitt pick for me to yell about.

I kinda like him too. I'd pass on Laurinaitis or Maualuga I think. As P-L was saying in one of these threads, Schwartz did fine with an average young MLB last year. Get a DT early. Get a CB early. And get a MLB a little later on.

I wouldn't say he's too big at 6'2". Well that is what he is listed at. I don't want to go looking for it in the senior bowl stuff. Sooooooooooo yeah.

Linehan seems to think that Backus is decent along with Gosder and Raiola.

Not to say I agree with his assessment of the OLine, but I understand that playing next to the OGs it probably wasnt that hard to make themselves look not that bad.

It really depends on what defense Schwartz uses. If he uses a basic 4-3, McKillop might be fine, if he sticks to a Cover 2, McKillop likely won't be suitable as a MLB since he would have to be able to take a deep drop in the middle against the pass. So we need to know exactly what his intension's are on defense before we can decide on players.

The deep drop in the middle isnt as deep with a studly passrush! But I agree, and on a side note Gunther has been quoted as saying he'll taylor the system to the players rather than try to fit square pegs in round holes.

I'd Like QB, DT and DE picked with the first three picks. All of other needs can be picked after, unless a stud corner (Jenkins,Alphonso,Vontae) falls to us at 20 or the 2nd round.

My guess is no Cover 2 with all the trash Cunningham has been talking about it.

I would like to just see a base 4-3 or 3-4 with a scheme for every week... I'm sick of the cover 2 BS.

Yeah, as we'ce proved the past few years it's kind of tough to run a cover-2 when you dont have any talented players that fit that system (minus Sims)

With DeWayne White, Cliff Avril, and the mercurial Jared DeVries in the fold (IAF? lol) already I really think OG, QB, DT are bigger needs. DE and LB are really a tier below those top 3. LB is too dependent on DT play to be addressing before it.
Redding, Darby, Fluellen, Cohen leave much more to be desired than the DEs, and we saw too much evidence on the field of our crappy DT situation (could we have been worse against the run?) to rate it over DE. OG is 2 gaping holes, we dont even have maybes in there. QB we all know about.

Nahhhhhhhhh. I'll keep him I guess. Don't get me started though. I wish he was our AD since he is such a great recruiter. But I wish we had a better game coach.

OT, DT, and CB...
OG is solved by fixing OT. Draft Oher, move Backus to OG, where he'd be damn good. Problem solved. The OL actually looks really good...
Obviously DT and CB are needs, they have sketchy starters and no depth at either spot.
