I saw the first one in theatres, and then swore them off because they were so completely different from the books. I went back and watched them again a few months ago, with the knowledge that they shared almost no similarity to the books and really enjoyed them.
The names and amnesia were about the only things that were even remotely alike.

Rounders, Swingers, and Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas are my go to movies. They are what I have on my computer and what I watch any time I'm bored.

Do not ask me why but I have never seen Easy Rider and I have owned the deluxe edition for a while not. That will all change in about 15 minutes.

The psychology of terrorism fascinates me. I am writing my senior paper on the bombing of Sterling Hall at the UW campus in 1970.

Yeah, one of my favorites. Matt Damon and Edward Norton need to do another movie. I bet Eric Sidel hates watching that movie lol. Johnny Chan played him so bad.

This is something that I've thought about quite a few times since seeing Gran Torino.. It is quite similar to Taxi Driver.
Think about it!

That movie inspired me and a couple friends to road trip to see our friend in Denver.

I can see the comparison in concept. A unique, isolated individual risks his life for the safety and greater good of his society. They both become connected to society through a teenager.
Now the question is: Who is more badass? Travis Bickle or Walt Kowalski

Except that Taxi Driver has great acting all around, not just one guy around a bunch of atrocious side actors.

The third one was ******* spectacular...I absolutely LOVED the entire trilogy and I think as far as serious action movies go, those three are definitely some of my faves. In fact, I wouldnt be surprised to say that its my fave modern trilogy, I liked it alot more then LOTR, the new Star Wars, etc...Just badass.
The fight scene in the third film with the tall black guy is absolutely ******* mind blowing. Dear god. When i was watching it, i was like WATCH OUT HES GOT A STRAIGHT RAZER! WHAT THE **** ARE YOU GUNNA DO WITH THAT TOWEL?!!?!?!?!!?
I learned not to doubt Jason Bourne.
