How did the Pacers lose that game last night? 18 point lead at the half.

Worst-case scenario for Livingston
Clippers point guard could be out all of next season because of severe knee injury.
By Jason Reid, Times Staff Writer
February 28, 2007

Confirming their worst fears, the Clippers on Tuesday learned that point guard Shaun Livingston might miss the entire 2007-08 season after suffering potentially career-ending knee damage.

An MRI exam revealed that Livingston tore three of the four key ligaments in his left knee anterior cruciate, posterior cruciate and medial collateral tore cartilage in the knee and dislocated it when he landed awkwardly after missing a layup on a fastbreak in Monday's victory over the Charlotte Bobcats at Staples Center.

"You're talking about a member of your family, and everyone in your family is affected when something like this happens," Coach Mike Dunleavy said. "Obviously, Shaun is a key member of our team, but that's not your main concern right now. You're thinking about his health."
http://www.latimes.com/sports/basket...ck=1&cset=true

theres more of the article whe you click the link

I hope all the best for Shaun...I cant believe just a week ago Clipps were talking about trading him for Vince Carter but instead couldn't pass up on his potential. I still dont blame Dunleavy and Baylor I mean they had all the faith in him. This is just unfortunate. All he can do now is take it day by day.

Latest I've heard is that Rashard Lewis is at the top of Orlando's wish list.

I said they could...I didnt say they would. I thought they would be playing better than this. They've been playing awful. Now, you bring in a Rashard Lewis and perhaps...perhaps they could win it next year. :)

I disagree with the thought that Hinrich is getting huge money. he's only making 9.5 next year. that's nothing. that won't put him in the top 30 paid players next year. so to say that the bulls have a cap problem with his contract is ludicrious. check hoopshype.com to see the breakdown of cap space.

I feel as Derrick Byars is very underrated and the type of guy who will drop late round 1 and make an immediate impact for a championship team.

I am a Celtics fan, so this is the one part of NBA basketball I can look forward to. If we can add Oden or Durant in the 1st this team could really do something if Pierce stays healthy. For the best all-around player I voted Brewer, but Jeff Green gets more impressive every week. Georgetown definitely has the potential to go Final Four. Would you consider Jared Dudley fairly versatile? He isn't very athletic but when he wants to it seems like he can do it all.

Very nice writeup GS, it was a good read. I liked the mention of Scottie Reynolds as well, I really like his potential and hope he stays in school to get a bit more polish, he could be a very good prospect IMO and when he's on he's fun to watch. Interesting question too about the best all around player, Green and Wright both came to mind. Wright has very good potential especially if he can work on his jumper, he plays good D and passes really well for a forward. Green is definitely more polished and more of a sure thing, I could be way off here but he reminds me a bit of Josh Howard as a do everything SF who really holds a team together. Either is a really good choice but I guess Green makes a bit more sense because he's more well rounded now and has a very good chance of turning out better. I love this thread too, I'm sick of the Oden/Durant debates it's nice to discuss some other prospects.

Yes #1 rule in this thread no Durant vs. Oden posts, I could care less it's all up to who the team drafting is and how they feel of both. As for the Josh Howard comparison it's good in terms of the roles each will play in the NBA but their playing styles are different. Howard is more offensively aggresive while Green is point guard playing SF. Howard is more athletic while Green is no slouch while Green is a much better rebounder capable of playing down low where as Howard is a much stronger perimeter defender. None the less I think Green will be great and will find his way on a high character smart team that goes with him.

If they get vince or Rashard lewis, they may make some noise in 08 if Howard, Darko, Jameer, and Ariza keep getting better.

Great College player no doubt, NBA prospect not too good. His size and strength get him by in College but in the NBA he will not get his shots like he does now and his lack of footspeed and athleticism hurt him. He will struggle to guard perimeter oriented big men and defensively isn't much of a force blocking shots. Also he must develop some sort of an outside game as that is the only way for him to score on a consistent basis in the NBA as he has shown even in college to be bothered by bigger men. Even the sticks that are Ibeqwe and Gist gave him a hell of a time. #1 downside on him is that his upside and potential are very little. Drafting him you know you are drafting a good role player at best. Things I do like about him is that he is very savy and court smart making nice passes out of the key and making good decisions, intangibles like that are what will keep him in the league for a while as a solid role player.

One guy that has had his stock drop this year is Joakim Noah. I remember last year if he would have come out he would have probably ended up in the top 5. He had all the momentum in the world but he came back and now he's a mid first rounder IMO. He has dissapeared against some good teams this year and has shown that he can be gameplaned for. His offensive game is a real question mark and with the solid depth of the draft class alot of teams may pass him up to get a player with less concerns. I still think he can be a solid player in the NBA, but I think he lost himself alot of money by not coming out a year earlier.
