Exactly. I won't have to watch it on a little boxed screen that's smaller than my hand with lag and choppy picture.

AND I won't have to see the idiot fans writing messages on the side.

AND it's the 3rd week which is the most important.

Caddy can mean a lot of things....

Stroughter looks pretty good eh? Even I get things right sometimes :P

Just goes to show you how clueless some draft analysts and scouts are. Stroughter has everything you look for in a slot/specialist. And yet everyone still falls for the straight-line speed guys like Dexter Jackson.

It's a shame that on a message board about the NFL it's only really ever going to mean Cadillac Williams.

I like Stroughter too. As far as a 7th round pick goes I think we did the best possible thing. He probably won't be a star, but it looks as if he can at least be a decent receiver and special teamer.

As far as Dexter goes; meh. I wanted DeSean that year... :( :( :(

Cadillac looks great. Only Bucs fans call him Caddy. If you didn't have a Bucs sig and I was an outsider I'd think it was a nickname.

Decent is an understatement imo. He's a good slot receiver...a notch below Welker, Breaston, Bess, etc.

A lot of our picks look back right now, for different reasons. Sears may never play again, Sabby got burned twice, Talib keeps getting in trouble and hasn't proven himself on the field either.

Hindsight is 20/20 but I wanted Blalock over Sears and Flowers over Talib. I didn't like the Sabby pick but I think he'll turn out fine as he gets some experience under his belt. He's more than athletic enough.

Anwyays, what are your guys thoughts on Leftwich? I mean do Bucs fans actually like him? He takes forever to deliver the ball and he's hit or miss with his accuracy. You don't get many opportunities to hit open receivers and it's not nice to see your QB overthrow 2/3 of them.

McCown has looked much better and at least he gives our receivers a chance to make a play. I really hope we trade Leftwich and keep Johnson around.

Leftwich has pissed me off so far, makes some nice throws but missing open recievers is unacceptable for any QB that wants to be a successful starter.
We should go into the season with McCown, Freeman and Johnson as our quarterbacks, and get rid of Leftwich somehow.

lol Miami has their full starting lineup (minus Brown) against 2nd & 3rd stringers & guys who probably won't make the team.

What a ******* joke I hope they all slip into one big pile and break every bone on their bodies.

Sparano is the dirtiest (looking & behaving) coach I've ever seen. The trailer trash of the NFL.

EDIT: OH WOW MIRACULOUS TD STARTING QB TO STARTING TE!!!!!!!!!! GOOD JOB MIAMI YOU GUYS HAVE SUCH A GREAT OFFENSE BURNING TORRIE COX!!!!!!!

With Louis Holmes (roster longshot) laying the hit on Pennington as he threw. Pathetic...wonder if Freeman will see Porter and Taylor soon?

Josh Freeman will sit on the bench and watch as other QBs suck before he gets his turn. Right now, he's no way ready.

I've been on the McCown bandwagon since Garcia left at the end of last season. I don't expect him to set the league on fire, but if nothing else he can be that 'game manager' style QB who rarely turns the ball over and lets the rest of the offense (ie RB's) lead each drive.

I guess the implementation of Jagz offense has led to Leftwich becoming the favourite, but the guy is just a glorified down field passer (and not a great one either).

I say start McCown for half the season, if he stinks throw in Freeman, if he plays well, leave Freeman on the bench and look at starting him next season. Oh, and keep Johnson, he seems like an interesting prospect and could even be used on trick plays here and there.

Oh and just for what it is worth, Pewter Report Insider have the Bucs keeping all four QB's.

IDK if Freeman can start next year. He's playing like a rook as everyone expected. Our coaches would really have to work on the mental part for him to start next year.

His athleticism has really surpassed my expectations though. He's one of the most agile QBs in the league and has great feet.

Remember, Freeman is 21 years old and could be at KState right now. He's got lots of time to learn.

I don't think we will have a choice. If Leftwich play poorly and we go say, 5-11, we will pretty much have to start Freeman.

The problem is that you guys have a pretty harsh schedule. The offensive line doesn't look too well either. Playing Freeman early as a rookie may damage his confidence because he won't be able to play well or win games. He's already not mentally fit to start.

Matt Ryan had an extremely easy schedule his rookie year, and plus great help from the running game. So that was huge for him and his development. He gained a lot of confidence early.

The offensive line is good enough (young and still improving), but like etk said Freeman just isn't mentally ready yet.

Ryan was A LOT more polished coming out of college than Freeman.

Cadillac Williams, Derrick Ward, Earnest Graham, Clifton Smith. None of that will matter with "take a shot" Leftwich at the point though.

Ryan was a 5th year Senior I think. Freeman = 3rd year Junior.

I'm holding off on critical Freeman analysis until his 3rd year in the pros.
