I'm so ******* ****** i think my hard drive if fryed which sucks ******* balls, whenever my xbox starts (some times it doesn't and just frezzes) but when I do get in it says that they can't find any profiles or hard drives & my hard drive is on my xbox there's nothing wrong I have no idea what to do, is there anyway that xbox could fix my xbox or enough to let me transfer some files to a memory card or something?

All I know is that it will save anything that is kept track over Live. So all your achievements and everything. Only because the info is saved on separate servers, and not your hard drive. If its stats or saves from offline games, they are gone. If its something that is on an online leaderboard or something, its probably saved.

If you recover your gamertag all your online COD stats will still be there.

I hope that when the new xbox comes out, your gamer points dont transfer over. Thus breaking the hearts of all the people that spend countless, pointless hours trying to get every achievement. lol. Thus showing them that all they did was waste their time.

Well yeah...but you ever hear of achievments.org or whatever it is? They rent/buy any game just to get achievement points. Like Avatar the game. They all have hundreds of thousands of points. It's just so pointless, there is no real payoff. And a lot of achievements arent fun, they're tedious and they still do them just to get the points. It's become a bit of an addiction for some.

I got the 1 red ring of death this time, that just says system error, E74. Not sure if this is as common or not as the RROD or as easy to fix, but I'm gonna take it back to the same guy who fixed it before in a few minutes and see if he can handle it just as quick.

The guy that fixed your Box, did he get it to work well? I'm considering taking mine to someone that can fix it, but i'm not sure how much to trust them.

Oh okay good. I remember someone got the yellow lights on here. I was gonna say if that was you, that's just messed up. lol. It's pretty sad that every other week someone on here gets the RROD or the E74 errors. Crazy.

Haha yeah, that would have been the last straw. I still haven't decided what i'm gonna do about my X Box though. It sucks not being able to play whenever the hell i want to. :/

Yep, it took him all of 15 minutes and it worked perfectly fine afterwards for some months, and if he works on yours once he'll fix it for free also so I figured it wouldn't be a big deal. I'm pretty confident he'll be able to fix mine again without much problem, you just have to look around a bit and you'll find some guys who fix them for a living and do a good job.

Yeah, i see a lot of ads on craigslist, but there's some shady people i don't trust. I might go to my friend's x box guy, he modded his for 40 bucks and hooks him up with 5 dollar games. I've played them all and they're all completely working and legit. I'm considering adding the mod, but i don't know if that'll affect my online gaming.

It's a ton of fun if you have friends to play it with in person. For me it got kinda tired really quickly.
