Sanchez as best QB in the league
How does everyone like Mark Sanchez so far?
I may sound biased when saying this, but after watching Sanchez during preseason and in his first regular season game, I personally think he has the tools to become a top 3-5 QB in the league once Brady, Manning, Palmer move on.
Not only does he have that "it" factor in attitude and confidence, but he's just so polished as a QB. Commentators in the last game against Houston said on CBS that he already has as good as feet as anyone in the league - this includes Brady and Palmer. This is as a rookie QB.
He has an incredibly quick release that lets him throw without being perfectly set as well as throw very accurately on the run.
He doesn't have Stafford's arm strength, but he definitely has exceptional velocity on the football. He is however more accurate than any of the QBs in the 2009 draft.
The biggest thing he needs to work on is interceptions and experience. If he can cut the turnovers down, in time I think he'll become less pick-prone as he gains experience.
Here's a pretty good clip that highlights everything I've just said.

Well I'd agree, but I've liked him for a while and now I'm obviously biased. We'll see how he does in this game against the Pats first. He has just as much of a chance as Matt Ryan and the other young QBs in the league. I'd probably say Brees instead of Palmer though.

I'm very happy with Sanchez. He's done better than I expected this year and has shown a lot of potential. Talking about him as potentially one of the best QB's in the league is a long, long way away but right now things are looking good for him and the Jets. It would be really nice to have a legitimate franchise QB where you don't have to worry about the position for quite a few years, that's a luxury that few teams have and usually the ones that do are pretty successful.

What a win!!!!!!!!! The defense has been absolutely ridiculous.
EDIT: Wrong thread lol, but whatever. He had a real solid game today, nice decision to take that sack late too.

He would have had 2 touchdowns on the day if Chansi Stuckey hasn't tripped in the endzone.

If you read the original post he asks if Sanchez can become an elite QB in the future, when guys like Brady and Manning are done. Not if he's the best QB right now.

Honestly I think that Sanchez is getting way too much credit for the wins thus far. Yes he is not making many mistakes which is very impressive. But lets not get way way too ahead of ourselves here. He's a rookie and is doing well but even with guys like Peyton Manning, Tom Brady, Drew Brees, Kurt Warner, ect. out of the league players like Phillip River, Jay Cutler, Ben Rothlesburger, Matt Ryan, Joe Flacco. I don't think anyone should be this excited after 3 games.

Every QB has potential. I like Flacco and Ryan more at this point in their careers. Sanchez has shown a lot of poise though and has not caved in to pressure. You have to remember their are some very good young QBs in this league with a lot of potential. Rivers, Rodgers, Manning, Sanchez, Ryan, Flacco and Cutler. Others, along with myself think Stafford down the line would be better. But the NFL has hope with some very good young QBs and Sanchez could be one of the elite in a few years.
