I've noticed recently, that Jamaal Anderson is still good at doing what he did in college. Getting pressure on stunts. This year atleast.

Thank God for that first drive. We have been pathetic as an offense outside of that.

Very true, after our first drive I thought we had the win for sure. Michael Turner needs to start running hard again, the O-Line needs to sustain blocks, and although some of them have been tough this is the NFL, our receivers need to make big catches. That last play especially by Tony Romo, he should have been sacked like three times. I'm not feeling too optimistic about the 2nd half, if we don't pick it up I can see us very easily going 4-3 because I don't think the Saints lose 2 in a row.

John Abraham needs to pick it up. The times he hasn't been double teamed Flozell Adams has been bullying him. If you get a 1 on 1 match-up with a slow OT you need to take advantage.

This has been a pathetic performance. After we lose next week, our season is over.

Grimes is pathetic no question. I was hoping we'd get Hill this week, but nope, of course not...just like we won't go for it on 4th and 2 with only 9 mins left in the game...
I'm not sure who was worse today, Grimes, or Mike Smith.

Matt is throwing too many goddamn picks this season. Turner can't do ****. Our corners can't cover anyone. Our DL can't get a consistent rush. Where do I stop?

We are awful. That was the most embarrassed Ive been as a Falcons since the Petrino days. Aside from the first drive nothing was positive, not a damn thing.
Our secondary is absolutely pathetic, possibly the worst in the league. Ryan looked awful, terrible passes terrible decisions.
This game was just sad.

For an offense with probowl talents at nearly every position, we have been horrible this season. Like I said after three weeks, we don't stretch the field and we can't run the football. Roddy White should NOT be under 10 yards per catch nearly every game.
Matt Ryan was far more impressive as a rookie when he stretched the field on vertical passes. This season he has checkdown syndrome while also throwing interceptions.
Michael Turner hasn't even been the hardest runner on the team this season, and the OL hasn't been blocking.
Ugh.

Seriously. What the **** happened to "Oh, I studied how Manning and Brady increased their arm strength earlier on so I'm going to do the same". Any pass beyond 12 yards looks like ****. He's gone back to doing what I hated most coming out of college, and that's throwing dumbass picks. I think Jenkins is part of the problem. I've always felt like we really settled instead of trying to get another legit player. We could really use another explosive player on offense. Like Percy Harvin for example. Maybe Norwood and Douglas are those guys and we are getting exploited now? I don't know, but we seriously lack explosion this year for whatever reason. I'm very angry and just rambling, so I'll stop for now. But this loss really pissed me off. If we don't beat NO next week (and we won't) we are in some deep ****.

And even though he hasn't been doing much, why the hell is our best pass rusher (Abe) dropping back into coverage so ******* much?

we are really missing Harry Douglas out there. I think Eric Weems could possibly fill that role though. I also think that we need corners... lots and lots of corners.

You guys are ridiculous in thinking that Ryan isn't trying to stretch the field. The downfield passing game doesn't begin to click just like that. Last year, we were able to take advantage of weak defenses with Turner pounding on them and Ryan was able to find people deep (because the defense would be tuned into the run...). Our run game has blew chunks this year and that is why we are in an identity crisis right now. With Turner's loss of speed, acceleration, carrying ability and Mularkey's commitment to the power running game, our offense is having a hard time getting started. How do you expect defenses to give up the deep play if they don't have to worry about the run (turner ypc: 2.7) and the receivers don't even have time to get deep (4 sacks)?
The man that we are really missing is Ovie Mughelli. He needs to get back in there to open up holes for the RBs so we can get our ever so crucial run game going, or at least performing better than it is now.

Ryan hasn't looked impressive going anything more than intermediate all season long. And obviously the running game not being there is killing us, but teams have had very successful passing attacks without monster run games.

Problems, we got lots of 'em.
RB - Michael Turner feasted on a lot of bad teams last year that inflated his stats and made him look better than he really was. I blame some of his struggles on Mughelli's injury, but he has lacked power and burst. Norwood is/was promising, but he cannot stay healthy. Our offense feeds off of the run and you can never have too many backs.
WR - We need Douglas back and fast. Michael Jenkins just does not threaten anybody. When teams have a good corner and can bracket White, who can we throw to down the field? Douglas in the slot, plus another legitimate weapon would help our down field passing attack.
CB - The biggest need by a mile. This is what happens when you draft bust (Jimmy Williams) after bust (Chris Houston) at a position. Let me tell you the future doesn't look very good for Chevis Jackson or Chris Owens. Trade for Nnamdi? I wish.
NT - Our run defense has been better than expected so far, but if we had an awesome NT to shield Lofton we would be more than solid, we'd be great.
