Texans will never trade for Plummer - NEVER. Texans are trying to pick up few more draft picks rather then trading any draft picks. If Texans had really wanted to have Plummer on the team then they would have traded straight up with Broncos for 4th round pick. They didn't do that when Junior Shanahan who is the QB Coach for the Texans. Smith and Kubiak have worked with Shanahan in Denver.

The only reason Tampa acquired Plummer was to trade him to Texans or Oakland closer to draft time but they failed in both front. Texans will not trade for him and Tampa will not force Oakland to draft QB first. I think Oakland will draft CJ first and Gruden wants CJ in Tampa.

Only way Plummer gets to Houston is if he is cut by Tampa and signs as a FA.

In the worst case scenerio, David Carr will be back for one more season with the Texans and if Texans do trade him this off season which they will do then they are fully prepared to go to war with Sage Rosenfels as their starting QB.

Texans are interested in acquiring AP in the draft, they have absolutely no interest in Brady Quinn. They will draft QB either in round 2 or 3 to groom for few years.

If AP is drafted ahead of Houston then Houston will draft between Okoyi or Landry, Branch or they might trade down a few spot and pick up as many draft picks as possible.

Texans owner and administrative staff have openly said they will not trade away any draft picks and they will try to acquire more draft picks this year. This is the primary reason, Plummer is not in Houston and instead he is traded to Bucs. CHECK HOUSTON CHRONICLE FOR REFERENCE IF YOU NEED TO.

Thank you for assuring me of the fact that the Texans will NEVER trade for Plummer. Given the recent hot streak the Texans administration is on, I am fully inclined to believe your ever so reliable prediction. i appreciate your knowledge and breathe it in as if it were a breath of fresh, honest, reliable air.
