I shall refer you to me previous post about Avatar:

Hallucinogens will probably make Tim Burton movies look normal.

It's a funny movie, but I think I might be in the minority when I say I'm kind of annoyed by Billy Boy Thorton's dick head character that he usually plays. Kind of like Will Farrell and Vince Vaughn...They become successful with certain roles and for the next several roles every movie seems to be based on the same guy.
Loved Bad Santa, but Mr Woodcock and Bad News Bears just made rewatching him annoying.

I saw it yesterday. I didn't love it, but I am a big Sherlock Holmes fan so I'm kind of a purist. But RDJ was really good in it and the plot was pretty good. There are certain elements to it that even a fan of the books, such as myself, can really enjoy.
The reviews I read were pretty unfair to the movie. Some people said that the pacing was too slow, but I thought that really wasn't an issue. Additionally, some people said that the feel of the atmosphere wasn't great. I think that is probably because of the purposeful anachronisms in the movie which I didn't really mind. I think one reviewer went so far as to say that it was like Wild Wild West which is just untrue.

It was just hey, this stuff happened, and then this happened afterward, the end.

I liked it a lot, I was very satisfied with the ending since you saw wikus change as a person, christopher and his son got really humanized by a lot of the shots where the generic prawns weren't earlier on and the story had a nice wrap up with chris escaping ostensibly to go inform his people of what had happened and to get help while wikus' transformation became complete.

I haven't tripped since the summer but that is a great idea. especially if we go to the 3d Imax.

Alice In Wonderland could be amazing if Disney wasn't doing it.

Yeah it's a shame that Disney is always censored and never does anything with balls, like that ball less Kill Bill saga.

Sherlock Holmes was solid. Rachel McCadams needs to do more movies.
