Did you guys see where Cody weighed in at an out of shape 370 today? Also I heard Trent Williams didnt even show up along with Charles Brown and Jerry Hughes. Another guy we have been talking about, Iupati, looked great at 6'5 325 and had the longest arms in attendance (35in.)
Anybody else have any SR. Bowl info?

That's been my big worry with Cody. He's so big, and not all in a good way. He would be a nice mid round pick, but a first sounds too risky on a guy who could eat his way out of a spot.

I hate Cody as a prospect. He's just a slob.

I've said this before, but Casey Hampton shows up fat, lazy, and overweight EVERY off-season now for the past 4 years or so, yet no one cares about that and still wants him. Cody is a fat boy, he's not a physical specimen, I'm not worried about stuff like this personally. I don't want him but I'm also not concerned about stuff like this because it happens to some of the best D-lineman year round.
I also really like Gilyard, hope we show some interest.

Cody's body type matters about as much as Andre Smiths last year...it's all about how he plays inbetween the white lines this week...not how much he weighs.

Rather have Dan Williams.
Either way... I want a NT. This HAS to be the year we get a big guy. So while I hate Cody's idea of being in shape, and the guy is definitely not worth a first rounder, getting him in Round 2 or beyond is fine with me.

Didn't Wade mention he loved how Junior played at NT for us this year? I don't know, if Bowman gets a bump to full time DE I could just see us getting a Cory Wooten type of DE or a massive 3-4 DE. I just don't want to go down this road again, although I'll probably kill our entire coaching staff the 1 time Ratliff gets hurt and we have no legit back-up.

Tebow fumbled some of his 1st snaps -- lmao! -- confirming the worries draftniks have about his ability to play QB in the NFL.
And Cody or any classic 350+ lb. NG situational 2-gapper would enable Dallas to move Ratliff out to DE which makes underacheiver Spears expendable.... how many aren't smiling :-) at that?

I want Myron Rolle. I wasn't sure if I did or not...but if we can't land one of the big three I like him in the 3rd if thats doable I think.

Interesting to see a ton of my favorite prospects going through the year are looking great at the senior bowl. Some guys that I've noted in the past that I think we may look at are performing...here are the guys I've noticed so far.
Austin Lane
D'Anthony Smith
Mike Iupati
Vladimir Ducasse
Dexter McCluster
guys that I haven't hyped yet but are showing well.
Daryl Washington
Kyle Wilson
Brandon Ghee
Devin McCourty
Jared Odrick

With the CB depth in this class I think we should really cross it off for the 1st round. Granted if the value justifies it and noone else is there it's a no brainer...but this is going to be a good deep CB class...we can get a 4th corner in the second round or maybe even third. No reason to go to early here imo.
OL in the first looks like a lock for me at this point. Iupati or Trent Williams are the two guys who I think we are looking hard at.

Quick Mock
1- Trent Williams...can play 4 spots on the OL...think Iupati will be gone
2- Donovan Warren....other CB (I think Warren will slip because of how deep the class is and because his tape isn't consistant enough...I don't believe he is going to test off the charts.)
3- Myron Rolle...smart high character guy with NFL body and work ethic. I think he could start from day one...scary but I could be sold that Jerry would buy that...I'm pretty sure Safety will be a huge need on draft day and he is the only guy outside the top 5 safeties that I think could start.
4- D'Anthony Smith...a 5-tech with upside and production this late is hard to come by...he has been having a good senior bowl so far.
6/7- return specialist maybe like Brandon James a kicker...eww

I've been pretty quiet on mocks for us, but this one really pleases me. I like Trent Williams AND Iupati a lot, but I think you've got it backwards. Williams should be gone, but Iupati will be available. I like Perrish Cox over Warren, but that's my Big 12 bias and just having seen much more of Cox. I just have to trust others' opinions on Warren. I took Rolle w/ our 3rd rounder in the last Forum Mock, just to put it out there that I think the guy is underrated and would be thrilled if Dallas took him. Had the mock been more than 3 rounds, I would have probably taken him round 4 or 5. Another corner I like late is Arenas from Bama. Reminds me of Cap Munnerlyn (who I and others on this board coveted last year), but more physical. He would also be a potential return ace.

Rolle has looked good this week and is improving his stock, but ehhh, his weaknesses are still coverage and being man to man, and I think we need to stay as far away from guys who compare favorably to the safety Roy Williams, as fair or unfair as that may be. Felt the same way about William Moore last year.
I like Cox and Warren also, I'd be happy with both honestly, but Kyle Wilson is starting to slide into that discussion for me. Another Boise corner with potential? We may end up hitting there again.

Trent Williams as a Guard is a new thought. But again... I question the pick of a Guard in Round 1 based on value and BPA.
Warren in Round 2 sounds like a reach, but if he's there I'd love the pick.
When Ward took Rolle in his mock, he got some criticism for it. Took it like a big boy, but I think a 3rd round pick is a reach. He never lived up to the hype at FSU and he's getting hyped up now for the same reasons he did coming in as a freshman.
Smith in the 4th is fair value.

That was funny Gribble.
Here's a shot at a mock.
1. NT Dan Williams, Tennessee
2. S Nate Allen, South Florida
3. WR Dexter McCluster, Ole Miss
4. OG Chris Scott, Tennessee

Wouldn't DE be a bit more of a smarter pick for our first pick this year?
With Flo's position being the only major spot to fill(and that is still not a guarantee as yet) I would think that Doug Free would get first chance at the position. Thus spending a first on that position unless it's can't miss(and picking at 23 or whichever spot we are at probably suggests the talent isn't can't miss).
My preference is either to trade right out of the first round and get a first next year and maybe a second or third this year. Give us a better chance to nail a mid round Corner. Get the third or fourth best Safety in the class and take a DE early.
Obviously I think we do need to spend a pick on the OL. We need someone to spot Gurode if he get's injured, as well as taking someone in case Free doesn't work out(but again. I'm not taking first round as a Possible insurance policy)

I like Matt Tennet from BC....He could be a guy we target similar to Unger last year. I don't think he could play RT like Unger...but he could play any of the three interior line spots. He would be an upgrade over proctor imo. He might cost us a 2nd round pick tho....that makes it a bit tougher to swallow. We'd have to address a need in FA for sure.

I like him as a pro prospect, but not for our scheme. I like Walton more.
